Tori POV: (flashback)

Flight 192 to Los Angeles California is now boarding."
Echoed a monotone voice that rushed over the heads of the crowded terminal.
"Tori honey it's time to go to the plane."
"Mama... " I complained.
"Tori, there is nothing to be afraid of..."
I grumbled and took my mama's hand.
"Look there is the big plane Tori!" My papa bent down and pointed out a large window.
"Wow, are we going on that big blue one!"
"Yes honey, that is the one." My mama added smiling down at me.
My pounding heart slowed to a less noticeable "thump thump".
We walked foward to a nice man behind a counter in front of a large corridor,
"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Smoak. Hope you enjoy our flight!" The man in a suit said after handing us our tickets back. We walked through the seemingly endless gray corridor to the waiting plane. I took one last glance at the entrance, a polished white floor and a hundred feet of eager passengers milled around shops of the airport. Big glass fishbowl windows revealed planes of all sizes perched like birds on the runway of grass and concrete. In the distance was home, a city, widely known as a "concrete jungle where dreams are made off". It sure had been a dream, but I was now awake... reality had struck like the lightning that came so many winters before.
I clutched my stuffed tigger against my coat as we approached a smiling blond woman, a stewardess. She was dressed in white and had slick heels that matched the company logo. A silver name tag in raised wings spelled the name "S-A-R-A" I said in my mind. Sara. I knew a Sara once. Kindergarten was it, no matter now.
"Hello young lady!" She bent down, her voice was sweet as her smile. Like hot the hot chocolate I had this morning at a Cafe in the city. My favorite Cafe. In what was my city...

My mind went back to weeks before, where my life was thrown into a sudden whirlwind. I had overheard my parents talking of 'the big' move. Which I later learned was  another way of saying: "Hey, sorry for the short notice, but your life is about to turn upside down. Why?BECAUSE WE ARE MOVING ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE COUNTY!!!! Where!? CALIFORNIA."
"Dumb California" I thought to myself, "New York is WAY. Better."
Suddenly I was thrown back into reality, the her same smile as we passed her and stepped into the big Boeing 747. There were an infinite number of seats from my small point of view. Each seat we passed kept me eager to get off as soon a possible, I had no idea why. The way things were just didn't seem...right, at all. The way everything was just didn't seem at all like it should be, I knew better than to let these feelings out; I was afraid I'd be wrong. Afraid. We finally found our seats. Row, one million? I was sure that was it. There was a clear view of the plane's wing through the small cabin window. I naturally called the window seat, if anything happened out there... well nothing would, I'd be the first to know. At least that's is what I thought.
"You comfortable Tori?"
"Yeah Mama..." I said slipping into my seat with Tiggy the tiger in my lap.
She turned to Papa, and they began to talk about plans for the near future. Outside was an overcasted New York City. Nothing but that and that alone.
Minutes later we were taxiing down the bumpy runway underneath a merciless windless torment that blew every which way. My thoughts were drowned out by the sudden take offs and landings of various aircrafts on the crowded runway. As we neared the runway, I could feel my heartbeat out of my chest, at any second it would jump out of my chest, at a hundred miles an hour that is... The seatbelt light came on. In my mind I could hear the pilot say, "minus five seconds till take off! All systems go, Flaps down. Engines full throttle..."
And that is exactly what happened. We began to slowly move forward, the ground then became a blur of gray and white. I held my mama's hand as I felt the plane lift if the so steady ground. I grasped the armrest as we finally lifted into the clear blue skies. I looked out at the veins of my city and felt my heart slow, we had gotten off the ground--safely. I laid my head back in relief. My eyelids became a hundred times heavier and soon, I slept a colorful sleep, with dreams that literally touched the clouds. I found myself as a bird, fearless, strong, and free. Free, something I didn't know about yet, but it was there. Sure I could say I was free, but I wasn't. As I flew over the endless clouds in the cold stiff air there was a rumble, thunder? My eyes shot open. I was back in the plane, the plane...
"Mama?" *WAGHHHHH* (cries)
"Yes Tori?"
"What was that?"
I hinted the rumble.
"I don't know, it's probably the wind. Don't worry." She took my hand, warm with worry.
Being young, I missed the obvious concern in her voice, it hung over her like a dark storm cloud, like the ones in the cartoons. Except, this was very real...
Suddenly the nose of the plane dropped, my stomach lurched, and my heart caught in my throat. I bit my tongue to keep from screaming. Others just let it out. My knuckles turned white as the clouds in the mercy of the high winds. My mother's voice was faint, faded like a worn winter coat. I could tell she was trying to calm me. But it was no use. My Blood boiled so high it reached my head. It was a roller coaster gone wrong, I hated roller coasters. I could feel myself falling, I could feel everyone falling. The stewardess I saw earlier appeared in the cabin doorway.
"What is going on?!" My papa demanded, his face pale and white.
"The pilot, he lost all hydraulic systems. It's a declared emergency, now. Don't worry, he is doing his best to stop the dive." The plane shook violently, I looked at the window, the blood in my face slowly drained, I felt light headed. There was only black...
"Oh my god... " the stewardess's voice was cold like ice. She rushed away. There was silence now, not counting the screams of passengers.
Silence... that isn't right. The wind, had it stopped? No. The 'million' ton engines? What? Wait? What? They aren't working!!!!!! The ground, it came up? Smoke, orange flame, was this a dream. Shaking again in the blackness.
"Tori! Tori! Tori!"
I gasped, and coughed.
I was awake. But I wasn't there. I looked over to see lily shaking me worry laced over her face. "Holy crap tori how far did u get this time? You gotta stop spacing out!" I could tell she was worried. I tried to speak no word would come out.
