Beyond Friends

Prologue

      Kristopher's First Day

      Kristopher wakes up in the middle of night, at 5:00am in the morning, too excited for his first day of seventh grade. As he jumps out of bed get a bottle of water from the fridge downstairs, he starts thinking to himself, 'Hmmm.... I wonder who will be in my class this year and which teacher I'll get.' He doesn't stress about it too much, as that will cause him more anxiety as he was that type of person. He opens his fridge and grabs a bottle of water out the beverage rack inside. He twists open the cap, takes a sip of the water, and takes it upstairs back to his room. He gets into the shower and turns on the water for a hot and relaxing morning rinse from him sweating all night from his sleep. He hops out, dries his hair, then puts on a tank-top to go for his daily morning run.

      "Hey Kris. How was your run this morning?" Kris's mom asks. "Good. Ran 8 kilometers in an hour and a half." Kristopher responds. As Kristopher dries off his back from all the sweat from his run, he quickly grabs his change of clothes, and puts his fresh t-shirt on, along with his new gym shorts and running shoes. He gets his stick of Speed Stick and applies it to his underarms and quickly runs down the stairs and heads out the door, at 7:45am. He walks to his friend Jacob's house around the corner of the block, and they both head out at 7:55am. "Wow. Already the end of summer. It's amazing how fast time passes." Jacob says. "Yeah... I'm not worried about who's on my class really, but more like who's my teacher." Kristopher responds.

      Jacob and Kristopher walk into the school yard, where find Jacob's girlfriend, Mackenzie, and Kristopher best friend Miya. Jacob runs up, then hugs Mackenzie and gives her a kiss. The bell suddenly rings and all the teachers start to pour out of the doors, with their attendance in their hands. Where the grade sevens stood, upon them were Mr. Smith, Mr. Anderson, and Mr. Thompson. Kristopher walks up to Mr. Anderson, the stricter one which he really wanted for some reason. He asks Mr. Anderson if he was in his class, but sadly Mr. Anderson said no. He then walks up to his second choice, Mr. Smith, and asks him. Before he knew it, Mr. Thompson starts to call names. As Mr. Thompson begins to read out names, he finds out that he is in a class with Miya, his best friend. Mr. Thompson leads his class into his classroom, Classroom 327. Kristopher grabs a seat next to Miya and they sit down, as Mr. Thompson begins to say his expectations for the students of class 327.

      '12:30pm. Lunch Time'

      Kristopher grabs his lunch out of his backpack, and sits next to Miya. Kristopher has a "Bomb Sandwich" on a bagel as his lunch. As the two best friends talk, Miya hands over some cookies to Kristopher to share with him. The two talked until the end of lunch about what they did in the summer, and what they expect from seventh grade.

      At the end of the day, Kristopher grabs his backpack, and stacks his chair beside the table group. Kristopher then gets everything ready, and starts walking home with Jacob.

      Miya's First Day

      'Miya was running down a crooked hallway as a maniac with a chainsaw walked up behind her, she was running for her life but she was trapped. Miya was stuck in a corner as the maniac walked up to her and raised his chainsaw.' Miya wakes up at 5:00 AM and runs downstairs for breakfast. "First day of school.... Probably going to be horrible...." she thought as she pours a glass of orange juice to go with her eggs. After she completely annihilates the food and chugs the orange juice, she runs back upstairs to get ready for school. Miya grabs her backpack and puts the essentials. "Binders... Dividers... Pencil Case... Done!" she says in delight. Miya's mom had just walked out the bedroom door and Miya says Hi to her. "Hi Mom!" she exclaims. "Hi my little sunshine!" the mom says as she runs up to her to give her a hug. They hug for a whole 10 seconds before they break the embrace and Miya says goodbye to her Mom.

      She walks out the door with a lunch bag in hand and a backpack on her back. While walking to school, she finds her friend, Mackenzie and quickly greets her. "Hi Mackenzie! Long time no see!" she yelled and Mackenzie yelled back "Hey!". They haven't talked over the summer and this is basically the first time they've seen each other. "How was your summer?" Miya asked and Mackenzie replied "Pretty good....". Mackenzie was not a normal girl as she was already dating and she was 12. She was dating a guy called Jacob which turns out to be pretty cool.

     Once they reach the school, they encounter Kristopher and Jacob. Jacob runs up and gives Mackenzie a kiss as Kristopher and Miya watch. They stop kissing right as the school bell suddenly rings. The teachers start piling out of the school with the lists of students that will be in their class. Miya walks up to Mr. Smith to ask if she is in his class but she was not. Next up was Mr. Anderson but to no avail. The last teacher, Mr, Thompson who was the nice/mean teacher and she was put in his class. She sees Kristopher and sees that he is in her class and she was delighted. Mr. Thompson brings his students into the classroom which was on the third floor, number 327. Miya takes a seat and Kristopher sits next to her. Mr. Thompson starts saying the rules and regulations of the classroom.

      'At Lunch'

      Miya grabs her lunch and sits with Kristopher and takes out her lunch box. For the first day, she had a sandwich and a bag full of cookies. She shared the cookies with Kristopher while they talked about summer. 'At the end of the day' Miya thought that the day was pretty good and that Mr. Thompson was a good teacher. The school bell rings and everyone runs out the door as Miya stacks her chair and grabs her backpack. She walks home with Mackenzie as they live on the same street.
