      Kristopher's P.O.V

I wake up today at 7am instead of my normal 5am as I had Phys. Ed today in class. I hop out of bed and get in the shower to begin my day. As I walk back to my room at the end of the hall, my mom tells me breakfast is ready downstairs. "Okay Mom!" I yell. Mom leaves for work, and tells me to have fun at school today. I pack my backpack full of the things I need, apply my daily dose of deodorant, and put on my change of fresh clothes. I run downstairs and eat my breakfast, which was a hash-brown and eggs and bacon on an english muffin. I demolish my meal, and instantly head out the door.

It was the second day of school, and I'm walking by myself for the first time since fifth grade. As I step outside my house and turn the key to lock the door, I see Miya out of the corner of my eye, staring at me. I kindly smile and I walk up to her, and I start to get nervous around her the closer I get. Like, I've had feelings for her since third grade when we first met, and I have a feeling she likes me too. I never wanted to tell her as that could ruin my relationship with her. I hear her say "Good Morning" to me, so I reply with a "Hey". I then approach her and give her a hug. She all of a sudden backs away from me and advises me not to just run up to someone and hug them right away and laughs it off. I apologize sincerely and we just start walking together close to each other. When we were talking, I notice her looking at me constantly and sounding a bit nervous, and I start to hint that she has a crush on me. Now, I tried not to stumble with my words, as I have a crush on her, and was flirting with her a bit. We approach the school, and As we got there, the bell rang, and we raced to the door, and walked up 3 flights of stairs to our classroom. We say good morning to Mr. Thompson, and we walk in very quietly and stand for the national anthem.

Lunch time rolls around, and I went to my locker and grabbed my lunch from my backpack and walked back into the classroom where I begin eating. I sit with Miya as usual, and we start chatting again about the work from earlier this morning. When the bell rings, I head to my locker and put my lunch away, and go outside for recess. Me and Miya ended up talking the entire time on the field, and watched the other grade sevens play soccer. When we head back inside, I take out my book and begin to read. I then feel someone tapping on my arm, to find Miya handing me a note from Kenny. I open it to read 'Listen up motherf**ker. Now I don't mean that in a mean way.... Chill fam. All I wanted to say is that I hint you like Miya from all your actions, and listen up d**kface. Don't even start messing with her. I'm making my move with her TOMORROW. AND I MEAN IT. -Kenny'

       'Another long period of Literacy...'

Right when the bell rings, I immediately jump out of my chair, and stacked it next to the table group. I grab my binders from my desk and walk out the door, and stuff everything in my locker as fast as I could and dashed down the stairs. As soon as I open the door to go out, I start to think about my actions that I did this morning. I felt like I shouldn't have hugged Miya at that time, as it was too awkward then. I didn't really start thinking about this until the talk I had with her at lunch today.

As I punch it the passcode for my front door, I catch Miya in the corner of my eye, looking at me while she's standing on her front porch. I completely ignore her and just run into my house, locking my door shut behind me. I get a bottle of ice cold water from my fridge, and run upstairs. As I take out my math binder, I hear my phone ringing in my pocket. I take it out to see who it is, and I saw that Miya was trying to call me. I decline the call and put my phone on my desk and start working on my homework.

      'A few hours later...'

I hear my text messages going off on my phone as I'm walking to the the washroom to take a shower. I quickly try to shower with just a bit of hot water left. I put on my clothes and walk over back to my room. I check my phone and find out that Miya had been sending me these text messages asking if I was okay and what was happening. I didn't respond to the texts, but I call her and tell her to meet me at the park Saturday at 11:30am.

      Miya's P.O.V

I wake up at 6:30 AM instead of 5:00 AM so that broke my schedule. I hop out of bed and take a shower. I turn the shower knob until it is very hot and I step into the shower humming Cold Water. After the shower, I go downstairs to see my mom preparing breakfast. "Hi Mom..." I say in a very awake tone as I just got out of the shower. "Mom is making eggs and bacon today..." I thought cheerfully as I got a plate and piled food onto it. I eat it as fast as I can because I do not want to be late on the second day of school. I pack my backpack and walk out the door yelling "Bye Mom!" and closing the door before a response.

"Mackenzie is walking with Jacob today so I guess I'm walking alone...." I mumble as I walk to school. This is probably the first time I walked alone to school I think miserably. I see Kristopher out of the corner of my eye and start to get nervous. I've liked him since Grade 3 and we have been best friends since so I have nothing to worry about I think over and over again. I start blushing immediately because I think I creep him out. Once I see him smile at me, I stay in place and watch him walk over to me. "Good Morning..." I say in a nervous and shaky voice. I hear him say Hey at me and I start blushing. He runs up to me and gives me a big hug.

I back away from him with a confusing look saying "At Least tell me before you hug me so I can get ready to hug you back." I laugh. I hear him say something like "Sorry." or something so we just start walking to school close to each other. I keep looking at him cautiously because I don't want him making any sudden moves. I haven't really talked to him much so I think our feelings for each other have decreased. After everything that just transpired, I have a small feeling that Kristopher has a crush on me and after everything he did last year in sixth grade, always offering me things, taking me out for lunch, and doing things like he would do when he's trying to get a girl to like him. I don't want to sound mean at all but I don't want him to sound like an absolute creep.

      'The Bell Rings'

Right when we got to school, the bell rang and we raced to the school and up 3 flights of stairs. I say Hello to Mr. Thompson and sit down where I sit. The national anthem starts to play so I stand up straight and look directly up. After the nation anthem, I sit back down and we start working. 'Lunch Time' I was startled when the lunch bell rang because I was staring blankly into space. I get up and grab my lunch from my locker and sit down with Kristopher. "I have the same thing as yesterday" I mumble as I take out a bag of cookies. I talked with Kristopher about earlier today and how the hug thing was a bit weird. I devour my lunch and put my bag into my locker. I walk out with Kristopher and we end up talking the entire time while watching kids play soccer. The bell then rang to signal that lunch recess was over, so we headed back inside. I begin to sit down as I grab my book from my desk, just to see Kenny passing me a note and telling me not to read it, and to give it to Kristopher right away. I tap Kristopher's shoulder and I pass him the note Kenny gave me. I see his eyes widen but I did not know what was actually on the note.

      'Another few hours pass...'

The bell rings at 3:00pm sharp, and everyone starts to pack up. I collect my binders and walk out the door to my locker. I see Kristopher running out the door and I yell "Hey Kris! Wait up for me!". All he did was just ignore me and walk away. As I finish packing my backpack, I run out the door, and go another way, just so he wouldn't suspect me following him. I ended up arriving at my front door just as he was and I just stand there on my front porch, looking at him. He catches me looking, and bursts through his front door instantly and shuts it behind him. I turn the key to unlock my door, and as I open the door, my mom instantly starts speaking. "Hey darling! How was your day?" My mom says. "Hey mom. My day didn't go that well. I'm starting to think that Kris hates me. He's been ignoring me after I gave him a note from Kenny after lunch. "Well. I think you should go over to his house and ask him what's wrong." She replies. I just nodded and walked upstairs to my room, and shut the door behind me, throwing my backpack on the floor. I take my phone from my backpack, and call Kristopher to make sure that he was okay. As I dial his number, I patiently wait for him to pick up. He ends up not picking up, so I stopped calling him so I wouldn't annoy him.

      'A few hours pass...'

I begin getting worried about Kristopher, so I begin to text him, asking him what's wrong. He didn't end up responding, but called me 20 minutes later. "Hey Kris.. What's up?" I say. "Nothing much.. Just meet me on Saturday at the park at 11:30am." Kristopher replies. Before I get the chance to say anything back, he just hangs up.
