After waiting two long, cold hours for the bus, I finally got on. Then waited another 2 hours to get home. At 7, I jam my keys into the hole, shove the door open and stomp down the stairs to my room.
"Are you hungry?" Mum calls to me from the kitchen. I can hear her and Yasmin laughing chattily. I am not in the mood.
"No." I answer harshly.
"Someone's in a bad mood." Mum calls cheekily. I resist the urge to stomp harder on her precious wooden floors.
"I'm going to my room." I yell, this is the code in my family for leave. me. alone.
"Bye Goblin daughter." Mum laughs, and I hear Yasmin chuckle too.
"Go away Mum." I hiss loudly as I descend the stairs to my room.
First priority- shower! Lucky for me, the owners before us installed an ensuite in the downstairs bedroom and the master bedroom. Okay, you're probably a little confused. My house is kinda weird. You see we live on a really weird property. On one side is the road, and on the other is a sharp drop off, our house is built into a hill. At road level, there's 3 bedrooms- Mum's room (the master bedroom), Yasmin's room and the guest room. There's also a toilet, kitchen, lounge, laundry, and study at road level. At the end of the hall, there's a random staircase that leads down to my door. I have a massive room and an ensuite behind that door. It's awesome because it's like my own private haven. Mmmmm, home sweet home. It contains a comfy double bed, a large, wall length bookcase, desk, beanbag, wardrobe, dresser and full length mirror. Yeah I know, be jealous.
I storm past my room, chucking my bag on the floor and enter the bathroom. It's a little stuffy so I open the windows. Soon enough I'm enjoying the sweet hot water goodness streaming down my back. I instantly feel 10x better.
"Mmmmmmmm." I sigh to myself. Today has been a difficult day, I don't understand half of it and somehow I'm not sure I want to.
A mysterious new kid who won't leave me alone, getting in trouble in nearly every class, being sent to the principal's office, not to mention the weird conversation and the strange footprints.
I've just finished drying myself and I'm entering my room when I notice that I'm not alone.
Marc is there.
Sitting on my bed, looking at me expectantly.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" I screech at him.
"SHHHHHHHH!" he hisses back just as intensely. "We don't need your parents knowing I'm here."
"Then get the fuck out." I state plainly. This is my space. He is not allowed to be here.
"Ramona I need to talk to you." Marc pleads, yes well sorry dude but I've had enough of you today.
"No, it can wait." I announce, my voice stony.
"It really can't I need to tell you no-"
"No." I cut him off. "Out." I point to the window he obviously entered through. It's still open and cold air blows through the room.
"Ramona I just need yo-" he starts again.
"I SAID NO." I yell. Marc is testing my patience, he's been doing it all day and I am honestly going to hurt him soon. "GET OUT BEFORE I HURT YOU."
Suddenly a wild wind begins to whip around the room, my books fall to the floor. The whole room is overturned. I don't know what's happening but Marc seems to. He grabs my hands and pulls me out of the window with him. Although I struggle against his grip, he's too strong. "Let go of me." I say sternly.
