A Note From the Author
I wanted to drop a note to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who have supported me and have supported this story. I'm glad you have all chosen to join Medora on her adventures, and without giving anything away (in case someone decided to skip ahead before they finished reading book one to read this note) do not fear. Medora's story does not end with book one. Just be patient; all will be revealed.
Now to the reason book two is late. I was actually speaking with an agent about getting the book(s) published. Until I knew if things were going to work out, I thought it best to stop posting until they gave me a yay or nay on representing me. It looked as if it might be a good fit; unfortunately, things did not work out. So, not wanting to disappoint everyone who read Journey: Part One and who have been looking forward to the continuation, I have decided to proceed with posting chapters. After all, this story is more for the people who want or need to continue reading this work anyway.
Having said that, I have decided to add a Patreon link to the postings shortly. This is for one reason and one reason only; my computer died. I was fortunate enough to rescue Book One and the outline for Book Two, but sadly Book Two (what I had written of it) died an untimely death. This is the second reason it has been a while coming for the chapters to be posted; I basically had to start from scratch with the second book. I think I'm back on track, but as Book One was finished when I began posting and Book Two is a write-as-I go venture, it might be a little slower for me to post chapters from now on; I'm thinking one every one to two weeks. If I get hit with inspiration from the writing gods, perhaps I can jump that number up eventually. We'll see how it goes.
Now, back to the Patreon account. I do NOT expect or demand my readers to donate. If you read every single word I write for free, I'd be fine with that. It's just out there to try to get people to help me out just a little bit. I'd prefer to get back to writing on an actual desktop, and not my poor little laptop that has zero memory and has to have everything regurgitated back onto a memory stick every five minutes or so before it passes out. So it's there for anyone feeling generous, and thanks if you donate; no worries if you don't. I'm also going to start updating the website soon, as the poor thing has been neglected for so long. So I'll post links to the website as well, with new stories from the characters from Book One, as well as new stories from Book Two. And, as always, if you want to vent to me, if you feel like any of this speaks to you, feel free. So, thank you for hearing me out. And enjoy Journey to Psitharis: Book Two.EDIT: This past week I noticed a movie being advertised that bears a striking resemblance to Journey to Psitharis: well, from what I've seen, anyway. The movie is called Wonder Park, and apparently it is about a young girl who has created an amusement park in her own imagination. For the record, I started writing Journey in 2013, and began submitting it to agents in early 2014 with little success. I don't know if this story was "borrowed" from me; most likely not. But I do want to say without any question that any resemblance between the stories is entirely coincidental; on my part, anyway. I do wish to know just how far the storylines match, but I have no intention of seeing the movie. However, if anyone out there sees the movie and notices any troubling similarities in the plots, please let me know. Right now I'm going on the theory that the two ideas just happened at the same exact time by amazing coincidence. Anyway, that's my declaration, for which I have absolute proof I can provide. So, once again, enjoy the Journey, because I'm going to keep publishing it.
