Chapter 1 [Saviors]

As the silhouettes got closer, Dawn could see them more clearly. There were four girls who were making their way to Dawn, they were about the same age as her, except one who seemed two years older than all of them. "Hello?" One of them said, she stepped forward, revealing her long blonde hair with blue eyes. "H-hi?" Dawn responded, stepping forward, revealing her appearance.

"Hey! My name is Iris!" The one who was at least two years older than the girls, known as Iris, introduced herself. She had dark purple hair and matching eyes. "Hi..." Dawn responded. "I'm Dawn, I was abandoned by my parents..." She continued, her expression turned depressed as she sat went back to the log and sat down.

"Ax! Axew!" A pokemon said, jumping forward. "This is Axew, and oh my God! You have a Piplup!? They are so rare!" Iris added, grinning. A girl with brown hair and blue eyes walked forward along with a Torchic, Dawn knew it was since her parents gave her an example of why she should never go outside.

1. She would die from all the pokemon.

2. She would be the Berlitz Family slave.

3. She would be made to become a slave, and when she grew up, she would be killed.

And 4. The Torchic evolution line is evil, along with every fire type, so if she is old enough, she could get a water type pokemon, and not anything dangerous.

Dawn looked at the Torchic. "Hey my name is May!" The so called girl, May, introduced herself, she was smiling and put her hand forward. Dawn shook it and smiled, too. "My parents told me to never, ever go near a Torchic, well, here I am now!" Dawn said, she looked at the Torchic once again as it walked over to Piplup.

"Torch torchic!"

"Pi pip pip piplup!"

"Heh, looks like they're getting to know each other!" A girl with orange hair and blue eyes said, stepping closer to the girls. "My name is Misty!" She introduced, "And this is Psyduck." She added, walking and sitting down on the log Dawn was sitting on. "Do you guys have any idea this is a stranger!?" The girl who said, 'Hello?' reminded. "Well, she's not as wallflowery-ish like you, Serena!" Misty scolded.

The others nodded in agreement as Dawn buried her face in her hands. "Serena, Dawn. Dawn, Serena." May introduced their selves to each other while Dawn looked at Piplup. "Hey Pip! Do you wanna be mine?" She asked. "Piplup!" The pokemon replied, happily nodding. "Wait, you didn't catch him? Here, have these pokeballs." Iris gave Dawn some pokeballs. Dawn grabbed one and carefully threw the pokeball at Piplup.

Piplup slapped it back to Dawn, "Pip!" It said. "Dawn, I don't think he wants to be inside of a pokeball, just let it be beside you or on your hat! Wait..." Iris suggested, looking at the chains on Dawn's wrists. "What happened?" She asked, pointing at Dawn's chains. "My parents abused me, and let me be a slave..." Dawn answered, looking at the chains while the others looked at Dawn with worry - except Serena.

Dawn knew that in the end, she could be friends with anybody that she meets, she sees the good in others and will always try, she is brave, kind and helpful, even in her slavery days. "Hey, Dawn, you can move in with me! I have a soon-to-be born brother, Max, and I would like some company!" May suggested, putting her hand in front of her again.

Dawn grabbed it. "Hey guys! Wanna race to my home, we can have a sleepover!" Misty suggested. All of them nodded in agreement. "Guys, I'll just follow you behind..." Serena muttered, she felt a feeling that she never felt before - being alone, since the new girl had been there, she has not been talked to by the other girls, she was even scolded by Misty.

"Jealousy." She mumbled to herself. "I finally got the word..." She added as the group sprinted to Misty's home, along with their pokemon. "Oh... there's a twerp..." Dawn's 'parents' said, stepping out of the bushes and quietly walking to the blonde girl. "Hey there little girl..." James, Dawn's 'father' said.
