Jerome didn't talk to me for days.

I'm getting more and more worried about Jerome. Our plan was coming near, and without communication, the plan wouldn't go well. And if it didn't go well, or if we have to abort it, then I would have to wait for one more month. Lachlan would probably be dead by then.

It hurts a lot to see him injured, and I'm pretty sure I cannot stand it anymore if he dies.

Now then I realise how strong Jerome was. He didn't collapse immediately when he had received the news of Mitch's death. Instead, he still remained quite calm, although he broke down a little.

However, he had let down the walls that he had built up now. He was still crying for days, and if he wasn't crying then he would just stay silent. It was eerily creepy. The usual Jerome was gone.

3 days left to the mission. I was slowly losing hope. I was watching out for Jerome more often, but he only stared at the piece of paper. I don't think this plan would be running smoothly. I would have to wait for another month, to see my poor Lachlan again.

2 days left to the mission. My wings were starting to fade a little. I was scared that it would fade completely. It represented my pride, my ego, and I was going to lose it. I looked over to Jerome's side. He's starting to sing a little now, picking up bits and pieces of himself as time slowly slipped away...

I'm now sure that we are never going to escape.

1 day left to the mission.

I've given up on the mission already. Jerome was slowly recovering. He started to sing more, but he had never talked to me.

The plan that Jerome had told me was repeating its steps over and over again in my head. This isn't helping me at all. It only reminded me that Lachlan was still tortured by Preston.

"Vikk?" A voice called out. My eyes lit up with happiness and amazement as I looked over at the hole.

"Jerome! Finally! I thought you were mad at me or something like that," I shouted in glee. He tried to hush me, but failed.

"I'm sorry, ya know. I was scared that after ya saw me, ya wouldn't be my Friend anymore," his tone showed s slight disappointment.

"I wouldn't abandon friends," I smiled, although he couldn't see me.

"That's good. I'm glad to have a friend like you," he stated. "Let's start with the plan tomorrow, eh?"

"Sure," I grinned.

Unfortunately, we did not know that someone was listening to our conversations that we were having.

And by the way KitKatAttack101 suggested to make a chapter where I broke the fourth wall and the readers come and save everyone, something like that. So as an author (and not wanting to ruin my book sorry but I can make an exception sometimes), would you want a chapter like that?
