Chapter 1: Bumping into Each Other

Sitting in class, just doing my work there is a sudden sound coming from the classroom door. I look up only to see someone knocking on the door. Miss Marin answers the door and takes a slip from the students hand. She then calls the name out.

"Tegan Lee." Miss Marin read from the paper.

I stand up and clear my desk and put my school books in my bag. I walk up to Miss Marin and grab the slip. Walking out of the class I can't help but feel a bit worried about the situation. I round a corner and I run straight into a wall. I close my eyes waiting for the impact of the ground but it never comes. That's when I realise I didn't bump into a wall, it was a student. I opened my eyes and looked up to meet the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen in my life. I then realise that the person is a guy. His arms wrapped around my waist with him leaning over top of me. He stands up straight and brings me up with him. Our chests were so close together I felt all the muscle in his chest.

He unwraps his strong arms from around me and takes a step back, so do I. I walk around him and keep my head down and mutter a quick "sorry."

I look back and see that he wasn't there, it seemed like he was never there. He was gone so quick. I turn away and keep walking to the office.

I arrive at the office. I walk in and ask the receptionist where to go.

"Just the principals office dear."

I start to worry after hearing those words come from the receptionist. I walk to the principals office and knock on the door. I hear a faint sentence "come in."

I walk in and see the boy I bumped into in one of the chairs. I sit down and start to panic that he has said something about the incident that occurred. But there would be no consequence because it was an accident so it couldn't be that.

The next words I hear out of the principals mouth shock me.

"Tegan, you will be showing our newest student, Alec Sanders around the school for the week until he settles in."

I look to my right and see him smirking at me. This is going to be the worst week ever!

"You are both dismissed." The principal says.

We both leave the principals office and walk outside to the hallway.

I turn to look at him. "Just so you know. We are not friends, you don't have anything to do with me at all. This is just for the week or until you settle in. Do you understand." I can't believe what I just said to this person. I acted like such a bitch.

"Well for your information I'm Alec just so you know, and it's my decision who I want to know and who I want to speak too. So you will be stuck with me for a week or maybe more." Each time he says something he takes a step closer. Each time he takes a step towards me, I step backwards. Until my back hits the lockers.
