"Hey wake up Lily" someone said. I turned to face the voice when another voice said "I know your awake so don't pretend you don't hear us." I sighed and sat up in my bed. I don't get why I have to wake up now there are plenty of other girls here so why me.

"I'm up"

"Good and make sure you look cute it's not everyday a person wants to adopt you" the older girl snides. I shiver because her face is cold. I turned to the other girl who woke me up and I realized that she was the new girl. She was just the right age to understand that her mom or dad doesn't want her but not old enough to remember either of them. I envy her a lot.

~flashback~

"Lil" my best friend called as she walked into my house. "My room Kim" I yelled back. She walked into my room as I was changing out of my cheer uniform.

"What are you doing we have a game tonight?"

"I'm not going I have a date." I said as I walked to my closet. Ok should I wear blue or gold. How about both. Wait that means I have to wear my cheer uniform on the date. I really don't want the person to know I'm a cheerleader.

"Um Lil sorry to interrupt your train of thought but you were just staring into your closet" Kim said.

~end of flashback~

"Hey new girl" I turned to her. "Y-yes" she stuttered. "Can you go into my suitcases and pull out something blue and gold I have to do my hair"I asked. She nodded and went to the suitcases. I got up and went to the bathroom with my brush and ponytail holder. I looked into the mirror and my past 7 year self looked back.

~flashback~

"Mommy can you put my hair into a high ponytail" I asked. "Sure baby come here" my mom replied.

"Yay I'm going to look just like the older girls on the block."

I heard my mom sigh.

~end of flashback~

I sighed and pulled my hair into a high ponytail. I noticed that my hair reached the middle of my back. I walked out and saw that she pulled my old cheerleading outfit out. I nodded and as she walked out I put it on. It feels like I just took it of yesterday. I walked out of the bedroom and it feels just like it did a few years ago. After my dad left. After my mom basically died. I was 10 I needed my mom. I can't stand my dad for what he did to my mom. He left her. He left me! I stopped walking took a few breaths and heard a voice I haven't heard in 5 years.
