Chapter 6- Permission

~Preston's POV~

Ever since Jerome practically told me off for cuddling with Caitlyn, he's been ignoring me all day. Honestly, I really like Caitlyn, I really do. She's the most beautiful I have ever seen. The way her hair is perfectly blonde and when she smiles her eyes shine bright and her dimples cave in. I've fallen for her, hard.

It was now the afternoon. Caitlyn has been keeping her distance from me because she's afraid about who Jerome would say. I could tell she always wanted to 'follow the rules' which I thought was adorable.

Jerome was editing something in his room and I thought it would be a good time to talk to him alone. I stood up from the couch and made my way over to his recording room.

I knocked on the door. "Come in." Jerome said through the door. I took a deep breathe and let it out. I opened the door and I saw him on his computer clicking things with the mouse. He looked over his shoulder and he sighed. Thanks?

He took his headphones off of his head and set them near the computer. Jerome spun around in his car to face me as I sat on another chair across the room from him.

He raised his eyebrows for me to start speaking. "About this morning..." I started looked down at my feet.

"When you were all over my sister? How could I forget?" He snapped back.

"I know I'm sorry." I sighed. I looked back up at Jerome. He had his arms crossed over his chest and was looking directly at me. "I just really like her." I said without realizing it.

He frowned. "Why are you telling me this?"

"I want to get permission." I said a little quieter. For some reason, I felt embarrassed to ask him this.

"Permission for what?" Jerome asked raising an eyebrow at me. Usually Jerome is pretty laid back about everything, obviously he isn't right now.

"T-to ask her out on a date." I said. I felt so pathetic for asking him this, but I wanted to know if I could.

"I don't want her to have a boyfriend. Preston, your one of my good friends, but I don't really trust her with any guy."

I sighed, that was the answer I was expecting for him to say. But I wasn't going to let him say no.

"I won't do anything bad."

He let out a deep breathe and looked up at the ceiling figuring out what to do. "Whatever," he started. I smiled, this might be my chance. "but if you break her heart in any way. I will break your face." He stated looking back at me. He was serious. I nodded my head.

"Good," Jerome smiled, "thanks for asking about it first."

And with that I walked off. Tomorrow I'm going to ask Caitlyn on a date. Hopefully she says yes.
