"Nico, we haven't gone on a date in a while" Rose said laying down next to him. "We should do that again soon!" Nico looked at her. "Do you want me to take you on a date?" "No," Rose said sarcastically. "Just a conversation topic." "Kay, "said Nico. Then he looked away. What? How dare he!! Rose angrily thought. "I'm going to find Anna," she announced. "Ok, see you later Rose," Nico said disinterestedly. Rise stomped away.
Nico POV I think Rose fell for it. She ACTUALLY thought I didn't catch her sarcasm. I pull out my phone, (AN- MONSTERPROOF PHONES) but the case is changed into a skull, not my plain black one. "Oh Rose, what am I going to do with you?" I muttered, giving one of my rare smiles. I pull open my messages and text Piper. "I need your help. I wanna do something really romantic for Rose, but I'm absolute schist at romantic goop."
Almost immediately, I get a reply
"I'm thinking candle lit picnic with you in a suit. I'm sending Jason over right now. Meet him at your cabin. I'll handle the rest."
I roll my eyes, and step into the shadows under the trees. I step out in front of my cabin, and go inside.
Rose POV "He didn't even care!" I finish my rant to Anna. "Oh, I'm sure he does. He just has a different way of showing it," Anna soothed. Then her phone blinged. Anna checked it, and grinned. "Who's that?" I say. "Oh, no one," Anna replies. Changing the subject, she said, "Let's have a girl day, just you and me, maybe Liza or Selah." I nod.
Third person POV The girls had a great day, and the Aphrodite kids, minus Anna, ran around getting everything ready. Nico got a suit, and Anna successfully got Rose to buy a dress. Soon it was go time.
"Hey Rose, lets go down to the lake. I wanna get pictures of you in this dress there." Anna suggested. Together, the girls went down.
Meanwhile, Nico was sitting with a picnic basket on a blanket, with roses and candles all around. He was nervous. What if Rose didn't make it? All of the doubts stopped when he heard the girls coming down. Rose came into view with a stunning purple dress on

Rose looked shocked to see him. "What's going on?" She asked. "Rose, you SERIOUSLY didn't think I didn't catch your sarcasm earlier did you?" Nico said softly. Rose finally looked around. "I hope this makes up for all our missed dates," he added. "T-Thank you Neeks," Rose said, stunned. They ate some sandwiches and then looked at the stars. "This night is beautiful," Rose commented. "Know what else is beautiful?" Nico added looking at her. "Not that overused pickup line, that's for sure," Rose said. "But yes, I am fabulous💁🏻" Nico just laughed. "That's my Rose!" He said.
