I stared blankly at his dimpled face, not knowing what to feel or do. I quickly turned around and made my way to the parking lot. I silently promised myself to forget about such a silly unrealistic crush. One my way to the parking lot I bump into Samantha, she smiles widely as she reveals that she has just been asked out by the new guy, Bradley. I smile but the joy failed to reach my eyes, as I was still upset about how I had been so stupid to think I could possibly be even close to being friends with him.

Samantha realizes that I am not feeling myself and tries to cheer me up.
"Guess who I saw today?"

"I am guessing Vampire Guy," I said with a small smile tugging at the the corner of my lips. Vampire Guy is the guy the one boy in our schools population who all the girls think is hot. Although no one stands a chance with him. He is tall a little pale and doesn't say much. He is in the tenth grade with Chad.
Samantha starts squealing like a mad woman, forcing me to chuckle a little. Samantha and I continue to chat when Bradley and a guy named Steve walk over to us. I slowly pick up my bag as I realize my mother has come to pick me up.
..............
The next day when I got to school, people were buzzing as the heard there were three new students joining our stream. I hurried to our form base as the siren went off. I sat in my usual place by the wall by myself.
Suddenly a short and very pretty girl walks into the room and takes a seat next to me. It takes me a while to build up the courage to say hi.
"Hi I am Tania"
"Oh hello I am Lola, nice to meet you. I was wondering when you would say hi."
I look down, feeling a little bit embarrassed.
"Sorry, it takes a lot for me to feel comfortable around new people."
"It's cool, I kind of guessed you were a shy person," she said with a grin on her face. I really hoped that this was going to be the start of a new friendship. Although I am a bit shy I like making new friends.

I spend the day showing Lola around, almost forgetting the fool I had made out of myself, until Chad walks up to us. He stops right in front of us and unashamedly checks Lola out. I know it sounds stupid but it hurt even though I knew I was just another person to him. He ignores my presence and starts up a conversation with Lola. Suddenly he turns to me and with a smile on his face says, "Here is your calculator, I had just been stalling."
He just walks off without another word leaving me stunned. Lola looks at me a smiles.
"What was that?" She asks.
"I don't know I feel like this isn't the last time I'm going to associate with the devil himself."
