The sins and I had returned from our mission the king had sent us on. I trailed behind Meliodas as he strutted up the stairs, delighted to report our success to the king. I glanced back at Ban who was behind me. He had the same Pompous look on his face that he always has. I returned my gaze forward to the horror that stood in front of us.

Meliodas had stopped his cheerful walk and replaced it with a shaky stance. I pushed in front of him to see what he stopped for.

The wall and floor were smeared  with crimson blood. The Great Holy Knight was poised in the middle of the room, spears of all shapes and sizes pierced nearly every part of his body. His cold gaze fixed in front of him. His mouth open, as if he attempted to cry out for mercy as his exterminator delivered the final blow. Tears of water were replaced with blood, for it seemed that the red liquid leaked out of every crevice of the Knight's body.

Shouts and scream erupted from outside the tower. We all rushed to the window to see what was happening. In a matter of minutes the sky had gone from a bright, cheery blue, to a dull, hollow grey. There was a crowd of Holy Knights gathered around the tower. They were screaming words that were untrue to us. "Liars," "Traitors," "Scandals," "Two-timers," "Wolves."

I grimaced at the word wolf, after all, it is who I am on the inside.

I turned to Meliodas, "Master, we must leave. I have a feeling we're going to be in big trouble if we don't."

"We can't"

"But Master!"

"We're trapped on all sides, there's nothing we can do but wait for them to come up so we can explain ourselves."

In the corner of my eye I noticed a small white light that seemed to be growing larger by the second. I forced Meliodas to the ground and tried to drag Ban down with us but I was too late. The light had expanded to the size of the room, and as fast as it had appeared, it was gone, along with the  rest of the Sins.

I struggled to get to my feet, but I managed to just to intake the sight of Merlin, the boar sin of gluttony, teleport Meliodas away from me.

"No! Master!" I desperately clawed at the air where he once was.

"How are you still here? I sent all the others away."

"What did you do to him?! I don't care if you are a member of the Deadly Sins, I'll kill you for this!"

"I'm sorry, you must forgive me when we meet again in the future please." Her voice was cold and somber. She snapped her fingers and just like that, I was in a world unknown to me.

                    =-----------------------------------------------------=

I pounced to my feet, searching all around for any sign of anyone. I was in a new vast world. A vast world of trees, that stretched as far as the eye could see. Green, a color I saw every little of in the capital of the kingdom, was now surrounding me on all angles.

"Master! Ban! King! Anyone! Can you hear me!" I called out to them, but received no response. I was alone in this new world.

I did the only thing I could, I ran, and ran, and ran. I wanted out of this hell of green before I went insane. I needed to seek out master and the others and find out what the hell was going on.

Whilst I was running there was only one thing that gnawed at the back of my mind, eating away at my skull. Merlin's last words to me before she sentenced me here. She asked for my forgiveness when we met again. That's would be if I didn't die first or kill Merlin myself for doing this to us. I bet she was working with the enemy the entire time, she was always keeping secrets from us. At the same time Escanor, the lion sin of pride, was also somewhat shady. I never did like him, but I did take interest in Merlin.

However, this type of thing did not strike me as something Merlin would do. She would never hurt her friends without a purpose, unless, then again we weren't really her friends.

I screeched in agony. I could almost feel my blood boiling at the thought of Merlin never actually being our friend. That she had lied to us for years, she never cared for us at all.

I shook the thoughts out of my head. I'll ask her before I kill her when we reunite.

And it was with that single thought in my head I ran for days without food or water through a labyrinth of trees, seeking my master and those who mean most to me. I would not let them slip out of my reach again. After all, I am their protector.
