Invincible

Prologue

My name is Macy. I'm 15 and I live in Gadulet, Nebraska, right down the road from my best friend, Jacob, who is 17. Jacob and I have been best friends ever since.....

~Flashback~

I was sitting in the grass of my new school, about to eat my lunch for the first time in that school. I opened my lunch pale. Inside there was an apple, fruit snacks, a PB & J sandwich, and a juice pouch, which was my favorite part. Suddenly a group containing two girls and a boy approached me. I froze and didn't know what to do. The first girl, who I didn't know, had blonde hair and blue eyes. The boy had dark brown hair, and hazel eyes. He looked at me as if I was nothing. The second girl I also didn't know, I knew I didn't know her because she had the type of face you could never forget.  She had short brown hair that had bright red highlights and eyes that were a very dark brown, almost looking red. They all looked down at me with such disgust and hatred. The first girl finally spoke. "Excuse me, you're on our side of the playground." Not knowing what she meant, I ignored her and continued taking my food out of my lunch pale. I grabbed my juice pouch, and put everything back inside. Then out of nowhere the boy reached down and snatched it out of my hands. "Hey!" I shouted. "Give me that back." I yelled reaching for it, but he moved his hand just before I could get it. The girl with the unforgettable face reached down and grabbed my lunch pale. She started to take everything out. At this point I knew I would never get it back, so I placed my head between my knees and sobbed. "Hey, leave her alone!" an unfamiliar voice shouted. I looked up to see Jacob, my night in shining armor. He walked up to them and retrieved everything that was mine. When he was done he walked over to me and bent down handing me all that was mine. I looked up at him confused. "My names Jacob." He spoke. "My names Macy." I replied. "Why'd you help me?" I asked him. "Well you didn't think I was just going to sit there and watch them bully you, did you?" He asked in more of a statement type way. From this point on I knew that we were going to be best friends until death did us part. 

~End of flashback~

Jacob is the biggest part of my life. I seriously don't know what I would do without him. We've never had a physical relationship, and to be totally and completely honest, I don't want one. When you enter a relationship, one of two things happens, you break up and hate each other, or you stay together for a while, occasionally breaking up and then getting back together. And I don't want either of those with Jacob. Jacob and I, were Invincible just as we were.
