Rex

Everything's been quite.. Fun. Drew showed me around and even shared to me his secret spot. A personal haven of his as he'd like to call it.

"Weeping Willows are my favorite." The bluenette said, his eyes gleaming in excitement and I could see the melancholy in them.

"They're beautiful." The draping vines of the trees honestly made me feel as if I entered another world. The bed of flowers looked mesmerizing.

"I hide here when they want to stuff me in the lockers again." He said as he pranced to the glistening lake. I followed him and dipped my fingers into the cool water.

"Why don't you have any friends?" Caleb was kind and annoying in a good way.

"I'm not as attractive and cool as you Rex." He snorted and rolled his eyes before sitting down on the soft green grass. He sighed and laid down, his arms and legs sprawled out. Copying his actions, I rested my head on his chest. I'm a bit affectionate; something I got from Valdez.

"I'm not really interesting. People are just plain weird." I answered and nuzzled into his neck making him stiffen a bit.

"Dude, what are you, a cat?" He placed his hand on my head and his fingers began to run through my hair. It felt nice really. I leaned against his hand and sighed happily.

"I dunno. Maybe I am." I grinned at him and he rolled his eyes. He pinched my cheeks rather painfully and I was tempted to bite him.

"Geez. You're pretty damn touchy." Caleb mumbled and pulled at my cheeks; I smacked him in the face and he winced.

"Ow." I bit his hand and he pretty much pushed me away; I tackled him to the ground and clawed at him.

"Ah shit! A rabid cat! A rabid cat!" He yelped and I smirked as I reached for his waist and began to tickle him. Caleb began to laugh hysterically and I could see tears form in his eyes.

"S-Stop man! S-S-Stop! Hahahahahaha!" I didn't cease it since I enjoyed tormenting him quite a lot.

The bluenette flipped me over and hovered on top of me and ever-so 'kindly' returned the favor. We spent most of the afternoon playing around and skipped the the second period. Not that I minded, but Drew seemed rather upset.

"Damn, I don't have notes. I might fail the test!" He stood up and fixed his glasses before pulling me up with him.

"I can tutor you. What subject are you having trouble with?"

"Mostly Math and Physics." Caleb said and leaned against me; if it wasn't for the fact I kept myself steady, we would have fallen over to the water.

"Pretty easy."

"Fucking smartass." He cussed under his breath, making me laugh.

"That, or you're just thinking too hard." I teased and he glared at me again. He punched my arm rather harshly and I think I might get a little bruising.

"Ugh. I hate you."

"Love you too bro."

"Go to hell!"

"A non existent place that has fire everywhere?"

"Oh my god, you are an Atheist!"

"Don't use the Lord's name in vain and I'm just being realistic here."

"Whatever." He huffed and crossed his arms. I laughed and he soon joined me.

"I'll make sure you pass Drew. Don't worry."

"You swear?"

"I'd bet my life on it."

"Cool." He grinned at me, making me chuckle.

We returned to the school at the end of the day. The teachers asked where we went, and I had the perfect alibi.

"My father, he called me and told me about a few issues he had with work. I couldn't handle the pressure myself so I made Drew come with me. I know it's weak of me, but he's my first and only friend here." By making it more believable, I made my voice crack a bit at the end. Mrs. Louis wiped away the tears forming in her eyes and ruffled my hair.

"That's alright son. And thank you Mr. Grayson, for watching over the new student."

"It was my pleasure ma'am." He beamed at her, which could have broken our cover since his fists shook and he looked like he was gonna giggle crazily any second now.

"We'll be heading back to the dormitories miss."

She nodded and smiled at us; finally getting out of the teachers' lounge, Drew bursted out laughing like a madman.

"Shit bro! I can NOT believe she bought it."

"I know. But hey, at least we won't get detention."

"Damn you're awesome. Lunch is on me tomorrow!" He pumped his fist into the air, making me roll my eyes.

This is pretty fun; having some good company and odd adventures. I hope Drew and I get along until the end. No matter what happens.
