Ok, welcome everyone to Chapter 1.

May this book continue on all the way to the end unlike others... *looks around guiltily*

Also, I will be going to another state soon for holidays to visit my father and little sister. The latter who is nosier than a 5 year old on Christmas Eve. The only person who knows I'm writing books is my mother, though she hasn't read any of this one.

Long story short, I'm kinda going to have to hide that I'm writing and I'm not sure how often I will be able to update... ._.

On to the story!

Chapter 1 (Red Delicious = Wait, What?!)

"What's this?" Asked Counsellor Avril in her bored, monotone voice for the third time today. She mentally sighed to herself in annoyance as she held up the gleaming Red Delicious for Rebecca to see. She had a lot of difficult kids in her time, but never a student with a compulsive lying disorder. The whole concept was strange to her, but nonetheless she was required to help. No matter how stubborn the student.

Meanwhile Rebecca was doing everything in her power not to get up and slap the annoying Counsellor across the face. When are they ever going to give up? She thought to herself. I haven't answered truthfully the last five years, why would I start now?

Looking up through her long bangs she sighed. "A magical leprechaun made of strawberries and chocolate," Rebecca answered stone faced.

Avril strangely wanted to believe her and almost did before shaking off the strange compulsion. "Come on Miss Moren, all you have to do is tell me the truth then you can leave."

"Yeah right. You're more likely to go a murderous rampage than let me leave anytime soon," Rebecca sneered. Of course this was an outrageous lie. There was no logical explanation for why she would do such a thing rather and letting Rebecca go, yet that was the nature of her disorder and so it was said.

Rebecca had seriously tried at the beginning, but the truthful words would never form on her lips. Every time she gotten even close a little nerve in the back of her head would tingle and give her an excruciating migraine until she stopped. However, she had found multiple ways of telling half truths using sarcasm, signs and by throwing questions back.

The counsellor once again frowned in annoyance. "So, how's things been at home?" She asked, dropping the previous subject.

"Fine," replied Rebecca tersely. Fine could be used in most cases as it meant, or at least in this day and age, neither good nor bad. Therefore it could be used as a lie for either word, though it did give away that either things were at one extreme or the other at home rather than in between.

"And your sister?" Avril questioned, trying to look innocent. She has been suspicious of their home life ever since Verity had come to school with a nasty burn on her hand and a large bruise on her forehead two years ago. They had been oblivious to the bruise as it hadn't showed up until the middle of class, giving the twins no chance to cover it up with foundation.

Their father in a fit of drunken rage had thrown a pot of boiling water in the general direction of Verity. Rebecca had just managed to push her twin out of the way but there was still some splash back. Rebecca, in her haste hadn't realised how hard she had shoved Verity which resulted in the large purple and blue bruise mentioned prior.

"Also fine," She answered gruffly. Rebecca slumped down further into her chair, wincing at her sore backside. She had already been in the wretched room for an hour, taking up most of her study period. Damn, I won't be able to get my history essay done by tomorrow.
