1962, Hellfire Club.
"Colonel Hendry?" Emma spoke, opening the door. I trailed behind, oblivious to the way his eyes trailed up and down our bodies. That's what Papa wanted me to be, oblivious.
"Yes, ma'am?" He asked.
Emma tilted her head and stepped slightly in front of me in a protective manner.
"Emma Frost. Sebastian Shaw's associate." She told him then gestured for me to speak.
"Zola Park. Sebastian Shaw's daughter." I spoke confidently, but pulled my hair over my shoulder so that it covered my body.
"And where is Mr Shaw?" He asked, smirking slightly his attention purely on Emma. I was thankful for that. I had only just turned twenty and being eyed by a man twice my age was not something I wanted.
"We're having a party." I began.
"And here's the entertainment, come with us." Emma finished, gesturing to the girls wearing probably less than us entering the room.
We both took one of his hands and led him into the club, then down to one of the booths.
All around me I could hear the voices of men's inner thoughts. Many of which surrounded the beautiful women.
The women in the room voices were mainly focused on how much they were being payed. One of the voices though stood out, one of a certain CIA agent Moira McTaggert.
I knew that Emma hadn't picked up her mind so I manipulated Moira's memory so she would forget seeing me here. Hopefully, down the line, this will come in handy. Who knows what Papa has planned. When we entered the booth, Emma closed the curtains allowing it to spin around to the entrance to Papa's secret room.
There Papa was waiting for us, a drink in his hand.
"Colonel Hendry." He greeted, then motioned for me to pour the man a drink. I complied and watched as Emma led him to a seat.
I brought the drink over to the Colonel then made my way over to join Riptide at the bar.
"So, I hear you blocked the proposal to position Jupiter missiles in Turkey." Papa mentioned, beginning his manipulation.
"I'll expect you reconsider." He finished."We've had this conversation. You put our nukes in Turkey or anywhere that close to Russia and you're looking at war. Nuclear war." Colonel Hendry defended.
I gasped slightly at the thought of that but was quickly occupied as I heard Agent Moira's thoughts. She had made her way in and had found the files.
I was conflicted on whether or not I should tell Papa."I don't ask for favors, Colonel. I express my expectations. So let me say it again. I expect that you'll reconsider." Papa stated, his voice growing dark.
Colonel Hendry started panicking in his mind.
"The only thing I'll reconsider is another glass of that delicious champagne." He spoke, standing.
Papa turned to face Riptide and I, motioning for us to show our talents.
Riptide smirked, creating a tiny tornado in his hand, then flying it over to the Colonel.
"What the hell did you put in my drink?" He asked shakingly.
I giggled slightly, manipulating his mind, making him believe he was standing at the edge of a skyscraper, having already locked in on his fear of heights.
He started to freak out even more and I was prepared to keep this going until my Papa's voice sounded.
"Zola." He warned.
