Morning, Sunshine.

My eyes fluttered open to LED ceiling lights above me, shinging brightly. I moved my arm to cover my dilating pupils, but my arm felt like it weighed a ton. I was laying on my back, on a hospital bed. Sensation flooded back into my body as I awoke. How long was I out? I moved my mouth to say something, but it was no use. I looked around the room and saw my body was hooked up to all sorts of machines, and a UPIAF doctor stood with her back to me.

"Good morning, sunshine." Ares said. He was already back at it. "I'm sure you're full of questions, but I need to rest. I spent the last three days making sure you're body didn't go under. I'll talk to you when I get up."

What the hell was he talking about? Making sure my body didn't go under? He was just a figment of my imagination, a mental illness brought on by use of Psionic power. I gently moved as I regained feeling in my limbs. I started flexing my hands and wiggling fingers. I felt my mouth suddenly fill with saliva as I grunted. I rolled my jaw, moved my arms, wiggled my toes, it felt like I was a zombie being reanimated. I was finally able to sit up.

"Doctor." I said softly, in a fuzzy whisper. The doctor jumped and and turned around.

"Oh my goodness, you're awake!" She said surprised. She had black hair and round glasses, pale skin, and a dark purple lipstick. "Please, Mars, take it easy okay? You've been out for three days." She explained calmly.

I shrugged, "I feel fine, but can I have some water?" I scratched the back of my head as I ran my tongue through my mouth, dampening any dry spots inside.

"Uhm. Sure." She nodded and ran over to the built in bathroom of what I assumed was my hospital room. She came back with a paper cup filled with water and I gulped it down quickly.

"Not so fast. You're body needs to adjust." She tried explaining, but I felt great, actually. Like I could run a mile in less than fifteen minutes. It was a good feeling.

After arguing back and forth about whether or not I was okay with Doctor Song for a few minutes I was out of bed stretching and cracking joints.

"I've never seen anyone come out of a coma bouncing off the walls." She shook her head and smirked, "But I've also never seen a psionic come out of a coma." She sighed.

"Hey, where am I?" I asked suddenly.

"Ah, welcome to Turmag. You're at Headley Memorial Hospital." She smiled.

"Turmag, huh?" I said. Turmag was a tropical jungle planet that had no sentient life, but tons of alien wildlife. It serves mostly as a place for UPIAF to set up biology and other science labs for UPII, but it's also a fairly popular vacation spot.

"Mhm. It was the closest UPIAF planet to Furana, 45 minutes by hyperspace travel." She smiled, Dr. Song was so cheery. "By the way, Mars, there's a whole boat load of people who wanna talk to you... But you don't have to talk to anyone until you're ready, okay?"

"What? Who?" I said, confused.

"Well, let's see. Yamato, Lts. Sage and DeKalb, Shiara, Dr. Befa, Od Garda, and Admiral Luro Keers." She listed off as she waved me on the table for a checkup.

"About what?"

"Well," She hit my knee with her small hammer thing and my leg reflexively kicked, "Nobody got your report on what happened back there, and your friends are worried sick."

"Oh. Yeah, I didn't think about that." I laughed a bit. Once she finished the routine check and deemed me "in best health for getting out of a coma a half hour ago" I told her to send for whoever wsnted to see me first.

"Oh, I know exactly who it's gonna be." She grinned, knowing something that I obviously didn't. She left the room and I laid back in my hospital bed. There were no windows to look out of, so I stared at the machinery that was kept here. A few minutes later the door to my room slid open and in the doorway was a Jittanian with a huge grin on her face. I stood up out of bed and smiled at Shiara.
