Part 2: The Innocent Love

Days passed by and Madhu's and Rk's friendship got stronger with time. Madhu dint know when she started liking Rk but all she knew was she has fallen in love with Rk and the best thing is she knew that rk also had feelings for her but things were not simple as they sound. Rk couldn't say to madhu that he loved her , they were still teenagers and this was not acceptable in their village and they were not even sure if this is what people called love if anyone would come to know about them having thoughts like this It would be a very big problem for them.

They were in 10th standard now. Madhu was the only girl studying in her 10th all the girls have got married or their education was stopped because of some or the other reason. There village dint gave any importance to studies or to be precise women. For them the only task for the girls was to get married , satisfy their husbands in beds, give birth to kids, and cook and clean the house. Studies were the least thing they thought girls needed but there were very few parents who let the girls study.  There were 32 boys and only 1 girl in their class as girls started getting married early and study till class 10 was considered unnecessary, so there were no girls , madhu was a very rare case. Madhu always helped Rk in studies. One day Rk came to know that madhu's parents had started searching a groom for her he got worried, he knew madhu had dreams and wanted to become a doctor and madhu was a very bright student. The next day when they met Rk asked Madhu " Madhu do you know that your parents are searching a groom for you" "Yes Rk i know about it , Buaji wants me to get worried but bhaiya has promised me that he would let me complete my studies" "Madhu one day or the other you will get married but I want you to know something" "What is it Rk" "Madhu I Love You" "Rk what is this nonsense , What are you telling" "Madhu I love you and i also know that you love me please dont deny it" "No Rk I dont l love you , You must be having some misunderstanding" " Madhu I dont want to lose you. You are an amazing girl, you are not just made to work in kitchen" "Rk stop this now" "No madhu you cant do this to me and yourself" "Rk I am not doing anything. This is the fate of every girl in our village, i came till her because of dads mercy and i guess it is better we dont talk from now. I dont want to give you any false hopes, I have made peace with my life and you also do it" madhu said and went back to her home trying to be strong.
