Chapter 5

Beep Beep Beeeeeeep
I slam my hand down on the alarm clock
"I hate waking up like that" I grumble getting out of bed. On top of our chest are bags filled with our training suits. I need a fire proof, water proof , everything proof suit. I have 5 suits everyone else has 2. In the bag is our schedule.

1st period: Advanced fighting
2nd period: Mystic history
3rd period: telekinesis, air lifting, vine lifting
4th period: elemental control
5th period : teleportation, super speed, and flying
Lunch
6th period: Attack stimulation
7th period : Mind defense and offense
8th period :Peaceful control
9th period: unlocking powers
10th period: Partner attacking
Dinner

For some reason school is super long. And we have 10 periods. I change into my fighting suit grab an apple and head downstairs to the training gym. While I walk there I get a lot of curious glances. When we get there the coach is already there.
"I'm coach Johnson But you will call me coach. You 11 are rumored to be fast learners and great fighters. First start with 40 laps around the gym and meet me back here. Me, Annabelle, Isabelle, Zane, Abigail, and Noah use our super speed and run the laps in 30 seconds.
"I forgot you were the ultimate Mystics" he says chuckling " Ok go line up and practice using your elements to attack each other". I face of with Zane I throw a fireball at him. He copies me and throws one back. With a snap of my finger the fireball gets put out by water. I fly up above him and he copies. I smirk as I super speed fly around him and use the air to make a tornado that he gets sucked into. I make it spit him out then teleport behind him. Then I tap him on the shoulder witch is the signal we use to show we got the better of them. But right before I do it I read his mind and see he's planning to flip me once I tap his shoulder. So instead I kick my legs out and trip him.
"Fine you win" he says laughing. I offer him a hand to help him up but he pulls my hand and trips my so I fall.
"Hey" I scream as I fall face first "What was that for?"
He smiles "I could ask you the same thing " he replies and helps me up.
"Ready for another round" I ask. He smirks

After class I change into jeans and a white shirt and slip into my black flats. We head to our next class and sit down. A kind looking lady stands up in front of the class and introduces herself as Ms. Lewison .

"Long ago the goddesses of air,fire,earth,and water came together they were getting old but had none to replace them each so they decided to create a race of magical people so there powers would live on forever. One group had the powers of earth. They were peaceful people who preferred the company of plants and animals rather than people. They had powers related to nature. Their job was to keep the world green and alive after the goddesses were gone. The next group had the power to control wind and air. They were social people who loved to talk to each other. They had powers related to air. Their job was to keep the world fresh and breathable. The third group was the group of fire. They were smart and great fighters. Their powers were related to fire,heat,and light. Their job was to give the world light and keep the world warm. The last group was the group of water. They were calm peaceful people who enjoyed being by themselves and other people. The had powers related to water. Their job was to keep the world refreshed and cool. Now class who do you think is the most powerful group?"

"Why do you say water Rowen?"
"Because although fire is powerful and can destroy earth and air. Water can put fire out in an instant" I say.
"Would you care to demonstrate?" She asks me.
"Sure" I stand up and have a fire ball hover in mid air. When I snap my fingers a water ball falls on it and put its out.
"Excellent. Class dismissed you may go."

We walk to our next class. I go get changed into another suit and we all line up and stand in front of a 200 hundred pound metal weight.
"Today I want to see how developed your powers are. If you have telekinesis step forward " Zane, Noah, Abigail, Savanna, Caleb, and I step forward.
"One at a time I want you to try and lift this weight" coach says.
We go in order from me to Zane. I lift it 50 feet into the air then gently set it down
"Good your already advanced" he says. No one else manages to lift it except for Zane.
"Good you two are already strong" he says "now any one with air powers step forward" Zane, Jade, and I step forward.
"Try and lift that block with your air powers one at a time" he says once again only me and Zane lift it
"Okay now anyone with earth power step forward" he orders. Zane, Jake, Darren, Lila, and I step forward. Again only me and Zane lift the block.
"Class dismissed you may go" he tells us. We change and head outside where we will be studying elemental control.

We line up and coach tells to go one by one and show him our elemental powers. Jake goes first. He makes it really bright and hot outside. Then he covers the field in a huge vine wall then destroys it with water. Next, Lila goes she finds a hurt animal by talking to them then she heals the animal. Then she creates a river leading into the forest. Abigail steps up and tells the coach that she doesn't have any elemental powers. Caleb steps up and does the same thing. Jade steps up and uses air to make her fly then makes it cold and dark outside but use a fire to keep us warm. Annabelle and Isabelle both just make a ring of fire around us. Savanna also tells coach she doesn't have elemental powers. Darren steps up and makes a river intertwining with Lilas. Witch was super sweet and adorable. Noah steps up and tells the coach he doesn't have elemental powers. I make vine make a half arch above us then complete it with half an arch of clouds. Then I make another arch over the top of the other on except this one is half fire half air. Zane does the exact same things next to me then we join ours together to make a huge one.
"Good job everyone. Class dismissed". By now we're all ready to collapse from exhausting. We head to our next class. Still coach is our teacher for this class.
"Everyone with the power of teleportation step forward" Annabelle, Isabelle, Zane, Noah,Abigal, Caleb, Savanna, and I step forward. He gives us each cameras and tells us to teleport to the farthest place we have seen a picture of and take a picture of it. I imagine the Eiffel Tower and almost immediately transport there. Zane transports there too.
"It's so pretty here" I say taking a picture and we teleport back.Turns out me and Zane were the only ones who managed to teleport to somewhere we've never been.
"Okay good job Zane and Rowen. Now everyone with the power to fly step forward" Zane, Annabelle, Isabelle and I step forward.
"I want you to do 60 laps around the field flying" since all of us can super speed we did the laps in 30 seconds.
"Good job now anyone with super speed step forward" he says. Zane, Annabelle, Isabelle, Noah, Abigail and I step forward.
"I want you to do 100 laps around the school. Me and Zane finish in 50 seconds while it takes everyone else 1 minute and 30 seconds.
"Good job everyone. Class dismissed." We go and change and head to the cafeteria. We grab our food and sit down. Zane and I use our telepathy to talk back and forth.
How are you doing so far it seems as your a little ahead of your friends he asks me.
Im doing fine I kinda miss my brother though

He's 6 he has a learning disability and has a type of autism.
That sucks
Not really he's still like any other boy just doesn't understand things as well as a regular boy would
"Um hello. Earth to Rowen I asked you a question" Savanna says
"Oh sorry what'd you say?"
" I asked you what class we have next" she says
" We have attack simulation next"
"Good because the bell just rung" she informs me.
"Crap" I say as I shove the rest of my food into my mouth. I throw my paper plate and head to the tech room. When we get there a teacher puts us in a simulation room by ourselves and starts up a simulation. In mine there's a thousand demons in front of me and there trying to kill the person I care for the most. I set fire to some of the demons and it kills them but it appears that some are fire resistant .I take the air away from some and they die but a lot of them don't need to breathe. There appears to be fifty left. I have vines reach up and drag all of them back to the depths of hell. Then that's the end of the simulation. When I come back to real life it turns out I am the only one who's every beat that simulation.

At our next class we get partners and try to put up mind blocks so no one can read our minds. I put up a block and Zane tries to break through it. But it's like a brick wall, and he can't get through it. Then he puts one up and I feel around it for a few minutes then finally find a way to break through it and I get through into his mind. But to protect his privacy I get out of his mind quickly. We keep doing this for the rest of the class. We head to our next class outside. The teacher tells us too sit in a circle she tells to concentrate on nothing but water and safety and within second I feel us rise into the air. I open my eyes and see we formed a water force field around us. We practiced doing this with fire and air by ourselves and with partners. It worked every time. Our next class was so boring I almost fell asleep. The teacher kept droning on and on and on. Ding ding diiiiing I sighed as finally the bell rang. At our next class we chose partners and attacked another group of partners. Me and Zane attacked Savanna and Caleb. We beat them every time. At dinner I could barley stay awake. When we got back to the dorms I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep instantly.
