Min Yoongi was the son of wind. He was a reserved person who kept to himself, avoided attention and wasn't very social -- only socializing when necessary. He had the ability to blow gusts of wind and had the responsibility to blow stubborn leaves from their branches during Autumn. He liked having this power. He didn't think of it as a hugely important job compared to the jobs of other gods. He didn't have to wake up early in the morning to carry out mother nature's work. He didn't have to keep watch of his surroundings day in and day out. He only really had to use his power during the days of Autumn and even then, it wasn't a stressful job in any means. A little gust here and a little breath there. Job done.
His mother was the goddess of Autumn. She was bright and social much unlike Yoongi. She had hoped that he would grow up to be a joyous, open chap but she understood that that's just not who Yoongi turned out to be. She was proud of him nonetheless. Yoongi didn't think much of his power but his mother knew that such a power was necessary.

Yoongi was awakened by the sounds of the cheerful morning birds. He grumbled and glanced at his alarm clock. It was just past seven in the morning and the sun was making an appearance. He was lying in such a way that he could see through a gap in his curtains. It seemed to be a bright morning. Yoongi sighed.
The sunshine kid must be in a good mood today. he thought. Yoongi didn't know who that was, but he already didn't like them. All bright and charming. He shivered.

In fact, Yoongi didn't know anyone. Today was Monday -- the first day of his new school life. He had previously been attending a normal public college but transfered to NYGA after deciding to move out of his mother's house in Daegu. He didn't have any friends back at his old college. Everyone was boring and unintelligent. Uniform and all the same. The only reason why Yoongi hadn't moved to NYGA sooner was because he wanted to just feel normal. He didn't particularly want to be around people like him... he didn't want to be compared to anyone. He wanted normal friends, normal teachers, a normal school life. Although none of that mattered since his education was the only thing he focused on whilst attending the college. He kept to himself and people never bothered him. He grumbled once more. School. He slugged out of bed and rubbed his eyes. He again glanced at his alarm clock. 7:10 AM.

He stood up and opened his drawers. He cocked his brow and thought about what to wear -- he wasn't very prepared for today. His eyes fell upon a baggy, oversized brown cardigan and plain white t-shirt. He opened up another drawer and retrieved a pair of distressed jeans. After deciding whether or not it was a decent outfit, he laid his clothes on his bed and made his way into the kitchen to grab some breakfast. He didn't have a huge selection. Corn flakes or... corn flakes. After making a very long and heartfelt decision, Yoongi reached for the cornflakes and poured himself a bowel. A splash of milk followed. He scooped a spoonful into his mouth and wondered over to his bookshelf. He plucked one of his favourite books, Demian from the shelf and sat back down by the window. Yoongi lived in an apartment block only a couple of minutes away from the academy so wasn't in any rush. Classes started at 8:00 AM so he really did have plenty of time. After he finished his cereal and returned his book to the shelf, Yoongi made his way back into his bedroom and dressed himself. It was too warm to wear his cardigan so he left it on his bed. He washed his face, brushed his teeth and quickly did his hair which he didn't stress too much about; it was pretty obedient as it was. When he had finished, he looked up at himself in the bathroom mirror.

He wasn't anything like his mother apart from one aspect; he gained his mother's looks. Yoongi was beautiful. He had soft hair, a soothing voice and a face many would pay millions to replicate. A gorgeous specimen, although he didn't feel beautiful. No one had ever told him he was attractive, apart from his mother of course. On top of that, he had never been in a relationship. He thought of his looks as average at best. Yoongi slipped out of his daze and remembered the task on hand. He sighed and faked a small smile at his reflection.
It'll be OK. he told himself. He took a deep breath and left his bathroom. He pulled on a pair of Oxford flats and grabbed his cardigan from his bed and his schoolbag from his wardrobe. He was about to leave before he noticed the warm glow of the sun. Yoongi huffed and picked up his sunglasses lying on his chest of drawers. He turned on his heel and walked out of his bedroom, closing the door behind him. He reached the back door and paused.

"I'm off." he whispered to himself. "See you, mum."
It had been two weeks since Yoongi had moved out. He had been in contact with his mother but he wasn't that good at speaking his mind. He often found himself calling out to his mother and waiting for a reply from her before realisation kicked in. Realisation that he was alone. If he was lonely, he wouldn't admit it to himself. He exited his apartment and locked his door behind him.

He stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked down the corridor to the elevator. He glanced inside. After finding that no one was inside, he stepped in and pressed the button for the ground floor. He didn't like being in elevators with other people. The thought of breathing in someone else's breath made him gag. The repetitive music rang in his ears as he waited for the elevator to reach his floor. With a ding, the door opened and Yoongi walked out of the elevator and then out of the door.
He stood outside and looked around. The street was quite busy due to school starting again. He turned to the right and started walking towards the academy. He became more nervous with each step he took. Yoongi wasn't the type to get anxious or jittery over things but he really was nervous. His heart was pounding and his palms were starting to get sweaty. On top of that, he was too warm. He worried and fretted until he reached the academy.
It was noisy. That was the first thing Yoongi thought about the place. He didn't like noisy places which is why he was always alone at his previous college. He found people to be noisy. He checked the time on his watch. Classes started in twenty minutes. He had been studying about the academy online so he didn't walk in knowing nothing. No fear of uncertainty. He knew where to go when the bell rang so he felt no need to go explore the building. He didn't particularly like being outside, but he figured it was better than being crowded in with numerous strangers. He'd have to get to that in time anyway. So for now, Yoongi just wanted to bask in his somewhat-loneliness. He walked up to the steps by the gate and sat down. He watched as people passed by chatting to their friends or walking by themselves. The sun was bright and the air was warmer that he would have liked.

Yoongi closed his eyes and summoned a breath of wind over himself to cool down.
