PrologueIn some distant future where the United Nations govern the whole planet, there is no nationality, bullet trains cross continents, going to outer space is an affordable vacation, and androids also live among humans. Androids mostly dominate the planet because human death became more significant than birth. In this time people are require to plan and pass a test in order to create a family, for the good of the children and the nation.
Among the thousand gigantic cities in the planet there is a city called "Amenecropolis." Located in the Asian continent it's the hub of business activities; tall buildings and skyscrapers ruled the skies and twenty freeway encircle the city ten in the ground and ten in the air. There is a building like any other, but what makes it stand out is the large statue of cellphone made of gold in the top. It is a thousand feet high all glass walls, with granite floors, it is an old one compare to the others but the architecture is superb with a classical feeling to a bygone decade. It is owned by the Wakely Family, the number one phone company in the planet. The family has one heir and that is Tate Wakely, a handsome young man in his thirties. He is mix, and yet charming especially to the ladies. He is determine to be a bachelor for the rest of his life for he hates commitment, ladies are too clingy and most women are just after his money. He used to be in the newspapers once in a while when he creates some scandalous actions. So his father decided to do something about that. On one of their company meetings Tate's father declare.
"I'm old and I know my days are numbered, but I am proud that my son is here to take over. I have one condition before he takes the role of president.
"What is the condition?" ask one member.
"He has to get married before I die. Our line must continue on...you need a child...I want you married before I die." That was his words in the boarding room and looking at Tate. Everyone agreed as his father continue, "If not I might leave Mitt in charge, his one of the best in this company." Mitt stand up and smilingly looks at Tate, and everyone give him applause. He is a little bit older than Tate but wise in dealing in businesses. Charming and charismatic, he is the ideal clever businessman. Tate is so upset he storm out of the room. It didn't take long for the news to go viral in the media. Tate starts receiving a lot of proposals from different girls and all he does is throw the letters or ignore his phone. Seeing nothing is happening his father order him to attended social events to represent the company and hopefully to meet the ideal girl he needs.
He attended them but all he does is flirt with the girls until finally he found her. She was the organizer in a charity event he attended name Elisha. She has long brown, wavy hair and is attractive though simple. Also her eyes are closed which suggest she is blind. He saw her talking at the podium inspiring, volunteer and visitors with her words to help the disabled children she is supporting. After her speech Tate is one of the first people to give her a standing ovation. He finally got her attention during the reception. She is walking with a cane when he approaches her. She saw her having some difficulty getting some punch so he help her and introduce himself. After talking for a while with Tate's joke and him listening about her passion to help the needy, they finally get comfortable with each other. Tate said,
"You really do enjoy helping the needy."
"Of course, I will do anything to help." Tate smiles and asks,
"Will you say yes, if I ask you to marry me?" She is surprised that she was speechless. "I know it seems sudden, but if you marry me you will be certain that all your charities will be well funded. I will even donate to charities that has nothing to do with yours....so what do you say?" Elisha was quiet for awhile and finally she smiled and said,
