After I took a shower and got ready for the day, Skylar and I decided we would go out to eat, and stroll around LA. Our first stop was at the beach we're Skylar kept pointing, and talking about how hot all the girl were in their swimsuits. By the way did I mention Skylar was lesbian? Well she is, and I could really care less. In all honesty I didn't really know what I was, I liked and thought boys where hot and all. But at the same time I felt the same about girls? It's really confusing for me but I'm just putting it aside for right now.
After we left the beach we figured we would just walk around, and try finding a place to eat that looked appealing. After about 10 minutes of Skylar telling me everything I have missed since we've seen each other, we saw a girl with dark, short hair coming out of a grocery store with a lot of bags in her hand. For a small girl I was shocked she could hold so many bags at once, until she ended up dropping them all over the side walk. So quickly Sky and I ran over to help the lady who dropped her bags. After we help her pick up all her bags she looked at us saying "Omg thank you so much!" And once Sky and I saw her face our mouths dropped!.
"Omg... your...your Demi Lovato" Skylar said in a shocked voice. While me on the other hand probably look like someone who saw a ghost. Skylar and I grew up listening to Demi's songs and making up little dances to them, so this was a dream come true for the both of us.
"Haha that's me!" Demi smiled making me die a little more inside. "We are huge fans of yours!" I said talking for Skylar and I both. "Aw thanks you! I'm really sorry to ask you this, but would you mind helping me bring these bags home? My house isn't far from here?" Demi asked in a cute voice that you just couldn't say no to. So Skylar and I both agreed to help Demi bring the grocery bags to her house. -------------------------------------------------- Once we made it to Demi's house I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was one of the cutest little house I have ever seen. Usually when I think of famous peoples houses, I think of huge mansions, but unlike Demi's, it was an abnormal size house that look absolutely gorgeous! Demi gestured us into her house were we set down the bags.
Demi asked where Skylar and I were from, and I ended up telling Demi the real reason why I had moved out here in the first place. "Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry you had to go through that... I couldn't even imagine." Demi said putting on a apologetic face. "No it's ok, I'm just glad I'm in LA now. I still can't believe I'm standing in Demi Lovato house." I said, Skylar agreed as well, and said she was definitely going to tell her friends all about this. After about 30 minutes of small talk with Demi and Skylar, we were talking about Demi's neon lights tour coming up this week. "Ya we are still looking for someone to do the opening act, but everyone's busy." Demi sighed. I looked over at Skylar who made a sound with her mouth, and trust me when Sky makes that noise with her mouth that means she has a plan coming. So I was preparing myself to hear something very crinkly come out of Sky's mouth. "Well Miss Ella over here is actually very good at singing" Skylar told Demi which made her look straight at me. "Oh really? Would you mind singing for me a little??" Demi ask in a cute little kid voice, which made me feel bad if I said no. "Um I mean I guess..but I'm not that good" I said a little shyly. "Oh hell no!" Skylar yelled making me and Demi both jump. "E, I hear you sing all the time! You're actually amazing!" And with that being said, Demi and Skylar both waited for me to start singing. "Um do you have a guitar I could borrow?" I asked Demi, "Oh yes!! I'll go grab it." Demi went to go grab the guitar, I gave Skylar my famous death look, showing her that I was not happy about this. But she just shook it off and waited for Demi to come back in the room.
Once Demi came back in the room with what I asked, she handed it to me and sat in the chair right in front of me waiting for me to start with Skylar right next to her. As I started strumming the notes to Ripetide by Vance Joy, I just let the lyrics spill out. https://youtu.be/ruyZjTh1fqg

As I opened my eyes a little to see a shocked Demi, I couldn't tell if she was shocked because I was good, or because I sounded like hell. But when I looked to my right and saw Skylar looking at me with a proud smile, I could tell I was doing ok.

After I finished the song, Demi and Skylar got out of their chairs and started clapping. I was shocked that DEMI FREAKING LOVATO was applauding me! Demi came close to me and said "How would you feel being the opening act for my tour?" And at the moment all I could say was "Hell ya!!But can Sky be my drum player? She is great!" Demi stood there thinking, and finally said,"Of course, if she is as great as you say she is" she said smiling! All I could think of was how great this tour was gunna be, with Demi freaking Lovato and my cousin Skylar! -------------------------------------------------- Hope you guys like the chapter!
