Erens POV
Kicking off the ground twice and placing my foot back on my board. I glide on the board for about 20 seconds and then I repeat kicking off the ground, once I begin to lose speed. The wind blowing through my hair as I begin skating home. The sun is beginning to set leaving the sky orange and hazy. Because of air being a little more humid than usual, beads of sweat form on my upper lip. The heat never really bothered me. In Fact I kind of enjoyed basking in the sun and soaking up its warmth. It being the end of July the heat was going to last a few months longer before it disappears until the next year. Only a few blocks away from my house I picked up the speed on my skate board to insure I got home in time for dinner. The last thing I want is lecture about being more responsible with time. Now only a block away from my house i start to slow down a little and just take in the beauty of the evening scenery. The sky actually looked really pretty today and I actually appreciated being able to witness its appearance. Suddenly the song Hooligans by Issues plays on my iPod. That song being my absolute favorite for the time being I turn the volume up to max, a volume almost unbearable for human ears. But I don't care, I dance a little to the song and mouth the words as I roll up to my house. To many people ,where I live would be considered low class or trashy and in all honesty it's not wrong. I live in the poorer side of town in the local dumpy trailer park. My house is a trailer with 2 bedrooms, it isn't anything fancy but with a financially challenged family what are your options. I take out my key and unlock my door, slowly walk in my room and plop on my bed. I lay listening to music for a couple minutes until a notification from Instagram interrupts my thinking. I click on the notification at the top of my screen that takes me into the Instagram app and onto a photo I am tagged in by one of my good friends Mikasa. She's been my good friend sense 4th grade. She's very over protective and acts a lot like an older sister would. The picture was of me and her and a few other people from one class last year. The captain read "Can't wait to reunite with everyone when school starts in two weeks!!! (:". Oh right that reminded me, school does start in a few weeks. Ew school. I dread school. Not because I'm bullied or of the people there but because it's extreamly stressful and boring. I'm a fairly popular person at my school for what some would call a emo or pop punk kid. Everyone in school new me and some even feared me. I am know mostly for getting in fights or riding my skate board through the halls at school. I'm somewhat known as a trouble maker. But besides that nothing exciting ever happens. It's all the same people, teachers, school curriculum and rules. I want an adventure to happen. Something new, something interesting. I flop on my back and wonder what this school year will have in store. Could something potentially interesting happen. Will this school year be something that peaks my interest or something I will dread going to. I slightly flinch and jump out of my train of thought when I hear my mother yell for me to come eat dinner. I get up and open my bedroom door rethinking my last thought. Nothing different will happen this year, it'll be the same boring school year as always. I then head out to the dinner table.
