Atlantic Ocean

Staring at the pill I have in my left hand, I could not help but I ask why I have to take this pill just to get at the bottom of the ocean?

And why does it have to be the ocean floor? It could be done on dry land. I have at least five-hundred hectares of barren land they could use.

I have so many influences, if they want protection.

All this question needs an answer; nonetheless I took the pill .

Without blinking, a bubble enveloped me.

Being able to breathe inside the solid softness, my hands became curious and started exploring it.

I punched the bubble, but it was way too strong. Unbreakable! What kind of spell did hector cast? That vampire is such a monster!

I bobbled up and down in the bubble, but this is not the time to play.

I am not a kid. I am Archer. I mean king Archer, king of all Lycans, and I am already 209 years old.

We can shift even if the moon is not in the state of its fullness.

back to my senses

I should not waste my time in the midair.

I don't want to regret everything.

Within a minute, I reached the sea floor and the bubble broke, once again feeling the salty water.

"Hectttttttttor!", Raine shouted.

Excruciating pain swept across my body.

(thus it gives a feeling of being electrocuted by one hundred thousand volts to her body)

"Baby, I am trying to cut your belly. But every sharp object I have in my hands could not cut through not even my fangs", Hector said, shaking and panicking a bit.

Still, I was amazed as I glazed my eyes how could Hector do such a thing?

I forgot he is a noble vampire. But to have a laboratory beneath the sea is beyond belief. And for a vampire to have this ability? Maybe for a witch or a wizard or a mage. But not a vampire?

The laboratory looks like a gigantic aquarium. Aquatic predators smash into it, only to end up injured. I should not underestimate this guy.

As soon the bubble broke, I ran to Raine and held her hand as she sobbed from intense pain.

The baby, I mean a monster, is about to pop out, sweat from top to bottom and pregnant for three years.

Raine's pain-filled eyes stared at me. "Hold on", I said.

"How can you give encouragement in a moment like this?", Raine shouted at me, her tears streaming down her face. "I am being electrocuted every thirty seconds! And only five seconds rest before the pain stabs at me again!"

I held Raine's hand tightly, her strong grip nearly breaking my hand. I wanted to shout "ouch".

I mind linked my sister Medi with husband Brent, my beta Lyndon and his wife Torsh. ''What is happening on the ground?", I asked.

My sister answered

There was an earthquake, 5 to 6 magnitude to be exact, but your place is covered by this strange translucent gray dome.

I replied, ''Go inside the dome and prepare for the worst.''

I could see every sharp object landing on her abdomen. If it will not curve the instrument will split till there is one instrument left.

Hector's slight hesitation was equally matched by him immediately fitting the leather gloves on his hands.

Leather? It should be normal gloves, not leather!

"I am sorry baby. This is our last resort. I have to cut you open and get our baby out", said Hector.

"What is that?", Raine and I also asked in unison.

"Silver", hector replied.

"Are you crazy? She will surely die!", I shouted in anger. "That will kill her!"

If I could stop holding Raine, I would killed Hector! But this not the moment for that; I have to trust him no matter what.

"She will die if our baby won't come out", said Hector, sweat pouring from his face.

He pierced her abdomen with the silver, and the world seemed to stop. The opening grew and Hector's hand was seemed to wither from the heat. He threw the melting silver blade and removed the leather from his hand.

Before hector laid his hand to his child, a wave of blinding light spewed upward from the Raine's opened abdomen.

I shielded my eyes with my arm, still clasping Raine's hand. Hector slightly lower his head and made an "X" gesture with his arms to protect his eyes. Raine could only close her eyes and turn her head.

An unfamiliar small smile touched my lips as I realized how I reacted as any normal person would to such a intense brightness, a realization of my blindness, a blindness that only allows me to see dark, blurry images. I experienced light again. My smile grew.

As the light faded, Hector grabbed his baby.

"It's a girl", Hector said, suddenly overcome with joy. "We have a baby girl, Raine. And she is as beautiful as you are."

"Hold the baby", Hector told me. Then he knifed the baby's lifeline to Raine, severing the cord that joined them.

I accidentally touched the still-melting silver blade that Hector threw on the table. A small amount of blood bloomed on my hand and I shrieked in pain, almost dropping their newborn baby.

Hector, using his innate vampire speed, snagged me when I staggered.

His attention back to Raine now, he removed her placenta and let it fall to the floor.

My tears fell at the sight of the baby. Though I could plainly see the baby breathing, Hector gently tapped the baby's buttocks.

Her first cry was deafening. We Lycans, werewolves and vampires can easily endure the loudest noise, but this cry almost broke my sense of hearing.

The bubble began to break water started straying in, aquatic predators seizing the moment to infiltrate the failing barrier, their eyes hungry, their teeth showing like daggers.

Good thing hector was fast enough. Before the inward rushing water could take our lives, he opened a portal with a key from his pocket, and in an instant we were in my graystone castle.

We are saved.

The room in my castle he took us to mirrored the ocean-floor laboratory.

Raine is catching her breath. Her heart rate increased and the machine came alive with alarms.

Her grip on my hand weakened as she began losing consciousness.

"Don't sleep, Raine!", I shouted, my voice loud enough that her eyes opened. "Don't sleep!" Tears fell down the creases of my face.

I saw Hector suture the belly of his wife as fast as he could. Now ordinary metal can penetrate Raine's skin without breaking. Finishing the stitching, Hector said a small voice, "It will be okay. I am here ill protect you."

Raine's belly began healing as if time sped up for her. As her vital signs stabilized, the healing completed.

She fell asleep.
