Chapter 1: Warped

Sarah’s POV

“GET UP!!!!!!!” My roommate Maia called from down the hall.

I almost forgot, today was the day I finally get to see my favorite band Of Mice & Men in concert.

Maia and I had been obsessing over this band since we were in the 7th and 8th grade, now we were 22 and 23. We have our own house together in a small town just outside of Atlanta, Georgia called Loganville.

Oh yeah I should probably introduce myself. Well, for starters, my name’s Sarah Alexandria Jaxon, I LOVE music, it helps me get through the day. I have red hair, greenish brown eyes, fair skin, a lip and nose ring, and some tattoos. Umm, I moved to Georgia to get away from my family in lower Alabama. And that’s pretty much it.. My roommate Maia Renee Allore on the other hand is a WHOLE other story. She’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met! She has an awesome personality, she has dark purple hair, grayish eyes, and is just beautiful from the inside out.

I get up and go over to my closet to pick out something to wear for Warped. I decide on my favorite pair of jean shorts with a white tank top, my OM&M, Sleeping with Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Pierce the Veil, and Bless the Fall bracelets and my trusty green vans. I go to my bathroom and get a shower, then blow-dry and straighten my hair, then pull it up in a messy bun, and head to the living room where I find Maia waiting for me to get done. “Do you have everything packed that we would need for today?” I asked. “Yes! Now come on! We’re gonna be late!!!” said Maia. We head out to my Jeep (a.k.a. my baby) and head off to Warped tour.

We finally get there and the line is sooo long it’s crazy!  So we grab our wallets (containing our tickets and money to buy band merch!) and go get in line. 

The gates finally open and Maia and I are walking through them, and the only way to describe the feeling was like coming home from the longest trip ever, from some foreign place. It was like I belonged, like no one could judge me. I didn’t have to constantly worry about not fitting in, because everyone there was just like me. They were the outcasts, the ones who had never exactly been in with all the “popular” kids when they were at school. I could tell today would be the best day of my life.
