A devil in disguise.

Hakyeon got into the car and breath in deeply. He knows that Sanghyuk will scold him if he finds out- probably even hit him for doing that. But , he didn't have a choice and he was glad he did it even at the expense of his health.

As though on cue , he started coughing out blood and he sigh , grabbing tissues nearby.

When the coughing gradually stop , he lean back against the chair and close his eyes , knowing this is only the beginning.

Just then , the door open slowly , revealing a concerned Hongbin as he take a seat beside Hakyeon.

"The rest didn't want to come in until I make sure you are alright." He took a glance at the tissues and then back to Hakyeon.

"You shouldn't have done that. You knew how dangerous it is." His tone turned strict , like a parent scolding a child.

Hakyeon let out a forced laugh and turn towards Hongbin , eyes redder than they have ever been.

"I know. But what would you have done then? You know it's not just a curse Hongbin. You know."

Hongbin chew on his botton lip , features on his delicate face hard. Hakyeon was right , this was a job only Hakyeon could do but still.

"Sanghyuk could have helped-"

"I will never let him learn how to do this."

Hakyeon cut him off harshly , eyes leaving him.

"And yet you do it. Do you know how heartbroken he will be to find out that you are taking this burden alone?"

Hongbin grabbed Hakyeon's shoulder , forcing him to look at him.

Hakyeon's red orbs stare straight into Hongbin's brown ones , his eyes full of unspeakable sadness as he whisper the next words.

"I don't want him to suffer the same fate as I did."

He look away as the last word escape his lips , eyes turning back to brown.

Hongbin let out a exasperated sigh , turning towards the door as he open it.

"Do whatever you need Hakyeon. But know we will be here for you."

He murmured before letting himself out of the car.

After a few solid minutes , the rest came in quietly , Jaehwan taking the wheel again with Leo and Sanghyuk on either side of Hakyeon. Hongbin and Wonshik were going to teleport back to the cafe with the tube.

As Jaehwan drives on , the whole car was suffocating with tension , so much that Hakyeon decided to take a nap to avoid it.

He close his eyes and lean his head back , dozing off faster than ever. As Sanghyuk take sneak glances at his now sleeping brother , he let out a soft sigh.

"What do you mean..just now?" Taekwoon stroke Hakyeon's hair gently , eyes focused on him since he started dozing off.

Sanghyuk let out another sigh. "He is..hiding something from me." Sanghyuk murmured , eyes leaving Hakyeon to focus on the ever changing landscape.

The car jerked at the words , Jaehwan's guilty eyes obvious from the mirror as Sanghyuk glared at him.

"And he and Hongbin refuses to tell me anything." He accused , pointing a finger up at Jaehwan while Jaehwan clear his throat.

Taekwoon's eyes follow Sanghyuk's finger, meeting Jaehwan's through the mirror as a unreadable expression mask his face.

"Mhm , I see."
