The Man In The Shadows

chapter 1

I was walking home after my night shift at McDonalds. I sighed and took out my phone it was 11 o clock. I was 10 minutes from home when suddenly I got a message from an unknown number

"hello Anna its very dangerous for a 17 old to walk home at night"

I ignored the message thinking it was a joke and kept on walking home when a man came out of nowhere smiling at me a very creepy smile he was wearing black jeans and a black hoodie there was something red on his hoodi. I started to feel very uncomfortable. I smiled and started to walk again. I was at my doorstep when my phone started rining it was my mum I ignored it and walked in "Im home mum" I shouted she walked out of the kitchen "Oh thank god i was started to get worried"

"Sorry mum I got held back" I told her and gave her a hug

I went upstairs to my bedroom I was about to take a shower when my phone started to ring it was from unknown number

"Hello " I said

"Hello Anna" A man said

" Who is this" I asked

"That doesn't matter what matters is that soon I will have you" The man chuckled

I stood there parlayzed

"W who is t this" I asked

"See you" The man said and hung off

I took that as a joke probably one off my friends

I took my shower went to sleep

I woke up in the middle of the night  when I suddenly hear screams

I ran down stairs what I saw next sent shivers down my spine my mum and dad were tied up in a chair and behind them was the same man that I saw today

He smiled at me and walked towards me I was about to run when he grabbed my arm and put on one handcuff on my arm and another on the redeatater

"Let me go HELP HELP PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME " I screamed suddenly there was a stining pain on my left cheek that man slapped me

"Shut up or else im going to make your parents death more painful than I planned" He said angrily

"Leave us alone you son of a bitch" I said The man just chuckled he walked over to my mum and grapped her by her hair she screamed out in pain

He took out a knife and stabbed her in the stomach

"AAAHHH" Me and my mum screamed

He repeated the same thing three times tears welled up in my eyes I started to get my hand out of the handcuffs to go and help my mum

"MUM MUM LEAVE HER ALONE SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU." I screamed

"MARY!!!" "I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL KILL YOU LEAVE HER ALONE" My dad screamed

The man just chuckled he turned to my dad

"OOH IM SO SCARED." he told him than he turned to me

"Oh poor Anna doesn't know what her parents did does she." He cooed

I looked at my parents "Know what." I asked tears running down my face

"It was an accident." My mum whispered I can see that she is in so much pain she is loosing so much blood the man grabbed her and stabbed her in her leg she screamed out in pain

"LEAVE HER ALONE MARY MARY LOOK AT ME" My dad screamed

"MUM" I screamed

"AN ACCIDENT THAT IS BULLSHIT YOU  SURVIVED BUT SHE DIDN'T YOU KILLED HER AND NOW IM GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY." The man screamed for the first time he walked over to my dad he got is hand and started to cut his hand off i screamed all the way its teribble there is so much blood they were basicaly sitting in there own pool of blood I could see that my mum was dying I feel so useless I can't even help my own parents I started to cry harder

"STOP STOP PLEASE STOP". I cried the man just ignored me.

the man walked back  to my mum and started to gut her then he left her for dead
he walked back to my dad and started to stab him everywere

I was screaming and begging for him to stop I looked over to my mum she was already dead tears were running down my cheeks I couldn't take it anymore I closed my eyes I could still hear my dads screaming I was sobbing suddenly everything went quite I opened my eyes and screamed my dad didn't have any eyes  his left ear was cut off and his other hand he didn't have any fingers

the man just laughed he walked over to me I started to scream I heard sirens getting closer
he knelt down and wiped my tears he smiled at me that sick twisted smile he than whispered in my ear

"This isn't over yet princess soon I will come for you so enjoy your last days of freedom"

there was a loud bang the man got up and ran  then I saw the police officers  and everything went black.....
