Melanie's POV
I was running around my yard, chasing my dog around. "Melanie! Dinner's ready!" I heard mama yell from the kitchen window. "Otay!" I said, running inside with the small, pure white husky following behind me. I ran inside and ran to the table, plopping down in a chair. With the white fur ball sitting at my feet, waiting for me to feed him the stuff on my plate I don't want. Beneficial for me and him, I don't have to eat the nasty stuff and then he gets food. So! Win, win situation! Mama then placed a plate in front of me and I started eating. It's been a few weeks since Leo, Ruki, and papa been back from war. Me and mama always sit at the window and see if they're coming home, I usually fall asleep and then mama puts me in bed. I was still eating and I heard a knock at the door. I looked at mama as she squealed in joy and ran to the door. She opened door as if here was a fire in the house, she squealed again. My two brothers and my papa was standing there! She hugged them tightly. Ruki's face was almost turning blue, Leo and papa were laughing joyfully and hugging back. I sat there, I thought they weren't coming back for another week! I jumped up after mama was done bear hugging them to death and ran to them tackling all of them. They all laughed, "Hey sis!" Ruki said, smiling brightly. I smiled brightly at them and got off them.
Papa picked me up and kissed my forehead, I nuzzled into his neck as my tail was wagging like a plane propeller. He laughed lightly, "How have my two lovely ladies been?" He asked, looking at my mom. "We've been good," she said, kissing papa. I giggled at them, I looked at Leo. I then reached for him, he smiled at me. Papa looked Leo and handed me to Leo, I hugged Leo. He smiled and hugged me back, "Hey lil' sis," He said, smiling. I looked up at Leo and smiled brightly, "Bubby!" I kept hugging him, he kissed my forehead. "Sis." He said, he then set my down. I just started whining and reached up to him again. He shook his head, smiling. "I need to head to bed sis," He said, keeping a small smile. I kept reaching up to him, "I wanna sleep with Bubby." I said, whimpering afterwards. He sighed softly and picked me up, "Alright. Alright. You can sleep with me." He said, smiling softly. "Yay!" I said, smiling brightly.

Later that night, I heard mama scream. I woke up, Leo was already at the door. He was looking around, holding a sword. "Bubby? What's going on?" I asked, rubbing my eyes tiredly. He looked at me, "Sis, stay in here." He said, walking out of his bedroom. I stood up and ran to the doorway, looking around. Then I heard Leo, "Mom! Dad!" He said, with a sad and terrified tone. I ran to mama and papa's room, Leo was standing their. I looked on the floor. It was mama and papa, they were dead! "Mama! Papa!" I said, crying. Leo turned around, picking me up. He held me tightly, I heard him sniffling. I kept crying. "Mel, we need to get Ruki and get out of here!" He said, running to Ruki's room. "Rukino!" Leo yelled at him, I then heard Ruki groan. "Whaaaat!?" He said tiredly, Leo walked to him and pulled him out of bed. He started to drag him down the stairs by his arm. "What the hell are you doing!?" Ruki yelled angrily, Leo wasn't saying anything. I kept crying, I couldn't stop crying or trembling. Ruki looked at me, he then pieced it together. He went silent.

When we were all at a secret hideout that the family has owned since the Boston's existed. But since the Boston's existed, demon hunters has too. Demon hunters are exactly as they sound, hunters who hunt demons. My family, we're all demons. And we're the demon hunters biggest target. Only because we're more of a "threat" to society than other demons that actually kill people! Papa and my brothers have killed people who were a threat to our village. But we're still the worst in society.
After we arrived at a white three story house, Leo looked up at the house and sighed sadly. Me, Ruki and Leo walked into the house with Leo still holding me.
The house had a musty scent floating in the air, dust flying through the air. Flies chased each other around the house like a game of tag. Leo turned the lights on, which didn't do much with the lighting. I sniffled, still trembling. Leo looked at me and held me tighter. "Shhhhhh. We're here Mel." He said, rocking slightly. Ruki was looking down, "Leo, what the hell happened!?" Ruki said, looking at Leo. Leo looked down, "The demon hunters found mom and dad." He said quietly, looking down at me with tears in his eyes. I heard nothing out of Ruki, I looked at Ruki with tears still in my eyes. My eyes were blood shot from crying so much. Ruki had his head down, tears were streaming down his face. "Ruki." I said, reaching for him. Leo held me to him.
Ruki took me and hugged me tightly, crying. I couldn't cry anymore, all I could do is whimper and hugging Ruki back.

Two hours went by, Leo and Ruki were in the kitchen, making something to eat. I was sitting on the couch, whimpering still. Ruki walked into the living room, he noticed me. He sat down beside me and looked at me. "Mel. We have to be strong ok? For mom and dad." He said, trying to keep a smile. More tears formed in my eyes, my ears flattened. "B-But, mama and papa are dead." I said, starting to cry again. He smiled sadly, "But what would they say to you if they weren't?" He said, his nose turning red a little. Indicating that he was close to crying. "To be strong." I said, sniffling. He nodded and hugged me tightly.
"Sis," he said, still hugging me. I looked up at him, "Yes bubby?" I said, he looked at me. With tears forming in his bright red eyes, "Lets get some sleep ok?" He said, holding back tears. I nodded softly, he smiled once again. He picked me up and walked to the kitchen. "Ey Leo, I'm gonna put Mel to bed." Ruki said, walking up the stairs.
He put me in bed and waited for me to fall asleep.
