With almost no time to react to the incoming car I did the only thing I could think of; push Jess away. I felt full impact of the vehicle but at least Jess was out of the way. My body flew back on to the pavement, knocking the wind out of me. My head cracked against the ground. Then everything was black and all I heard was Jess screaming for help, then nothing.
I woke up with a terrible headache. But where was I, it looked like I was in my bed. Something seemed off. I felt like I was forgetting something. "Silver time to get up." my mother called from downstairs.
"Ok!" I called back. I got up and started to get ready. I brushed my strawberry blonde tresses, my hair always got so frizzy during the night. I moved around so much when I dreamed, but I didn't remember dreaming last night everything was black. (That was odd I always dream). I shrugged it off and moved on to brushing my teeth. After I was done, I went and put on a comfy brown shweatshirt, a pair of skinny jeans and don't forget the socks. I ran downstairs to see my mom bent over the stove cooking eggs for breakfest. "Hey mom." I chimed.
"Hi sweetie, did you dream well last night" she asked dully.
"No, actually I didn't I don't remember dreaming at all last night."
"oh, well nothing to worry about."
"Actually it is I always dream, and I have a terrible feeling I'm forgetting something."
"I'm sure it will come to you Silver." she dissmissed my frantic worrying with ease why would she do that? "But mom I'm worried..."
"But nothing Silver, eat your eggs and find your school bag." she said sternly shoving the plate of scrambled eggs across the table towards me. With a look of disbelief on my pale face I sat and ate while pondering why mom was being such a b****. She wasn't like this before, wait, before what. Was she always like this and it just took an awful morning for me to realize it.
