Me. Just plain old me. I'm not that one who has alot of friends, or am popular. There's Just one thing that I want. That's her. Just plain old her.
" Josh, could you answer this equation?" Mrs.Wright asked me. I was to busy drawing her. My best friend, Oliver, pinched me. Oh, no. I messed up her mouth. Her pretty mouth. " The teacher called on you," Oliver whispered to me. " What was the question?" I asked back.
"What you working on?" Mrs.Wright asked. I hid the picture before she walked over to my desk. " Nothing. I just was falling asleep" I hesitated. She gave me the look which meant, " I need to talk to you after class." Geometry went pretty slow after that.
" What were you really doing?" she asked me after class. " Like I said. Nothing." She let me go to my next class.
"How's the pic?" Oliver asked me at lunch. I was staring at her without realizing it. " Josh, are you going to answer me?"
" Uh, yeah. Sorry, she's just so beautiful."
" Why don't you ask her out?"
" No. What if she says no? What will I do then? It's just not worth it."
" If it wasn't worth it, you wouldn't love her. Come on just do it."
" Fine, but after school." We had a good rest of the day. Then came the scariest part of my day. Asking her out.
" Can I speak to you for a sec?"
" Yeah, sure," she answered.
" Would you go out with me?" I asked her. A shocked look came to her face. " I'm sorry. You're just very beautiful, and I really like you. Oliver told me to ask you out." She still had the shocked look on her face. " See you later."
" No, wait! I really do go out with you, it's just I wasn't expecting it. Sorry for that look. I know it's weird."
" No, you're not weird, I'm weird for asking you out."
" Not really. That's the best thing that has happened to me today."
" See you tomorrow?"
" I guess so," she shyly replied.
