I opened my eyes, letting them adjust in the light. I turned to see half the bed made, ethan had left. I sat up and grabbed my phone.

dude can you please come
over when you wake up and
help me with my math
homework.
alright i'm coming over
now.

I stood up and showered, got dressed and went down stairs. "going to meet up with grayson, see you later." I said to my dad who was cooking something.
I walked outside and realised I no longer had a car, but their house was only a five minute walk so I just started walking.

"hayley, hi." lisa greeted me. "ethan hasn't come home since last night, we thought he stayed at your house." she said.
"oh he did, he just left before I woke up and grayson needed my help so i'm here for him." I said.
"okay, well grayson is in his room." she smiled. "do you- do you uh want to have breakfast with us? sean actually had to go early. we are having pancakes and fresh orange juice, I mean grayson squeezed it before, but I also have some from the shop in the fridge." she laughed.
"I would love too lisa." I smiled and with that I walked towards the stairs, heading to grayson's room. I opened the door and he had his aircon on, "hey bitch."
"finally, i'm dying." he sighed with relief.
"oh come on grayson, it's not that hard." I laughed taking a seat beside him, "what are you stuck on?"
"question one to-" he picked up the book flicked to through all the pages. "-twenty-two."
"the whole booklet." I stated.
"mhm."
"here." I picked up his pen and started doing the first one. he rested his head on my shoulder and watched. "see, it's easy. you do question two, here." I handed him back his pen and moved out his way.
he began doing it and he finished it, "see grayson, you can do it." I laughed.
"yeah because you helped me." he smiled, whilst looking at me. I looked at him and smiled back, "breakfast will be ready in a minute, wanna go down stairs?"
"sure, then we are coming back up here and finishing this booklet. today."
"ugh, you suck." he groaned.
"i'm smart and I know that this booklet was due two weeks ago... when ethan and I handed ours in."
"you and ethan are always together to study."
"well he keeps hanging out with erin when we have plans, so we can always hang." I shrugged.
"yes, we can go swimming and build forts and a tree house." he laughed.
"summer is in three weeks, we have to do all those things." I grabbed his hand and pulled myself off the bed. "come on." I said holding his hand and walking down the stairs.
