Chapter 1 (Age 4)

Darkness...

That's all I saw in my right eye... this was new to me because mum always made sure we weren't hurt... well, of course... i'm only 4 and mum wants Garroth and I to be safe....

"Garroth, my eye! I cant see out of my right eye! It hurts!" I yell, feeling tears stream down my face.

"Baby brother! Are you okay?! I'm sorry for throwing that snowball at your face! I didn't think it would hurt you! Let's go tell mum!" Garroth, my older brother, said, taking my hand and starting to run towards the house, making me run behind him.

My right eye hurts.. mum is probably gonna ask me a million questions when we get to the house.. I knew that I shouldn't of played in the snow today... or ever..

"Mum! Dad! Zane's hurt!" Garroth yells as he ran inside the house, dragging me inside and making me sit on the couch as I cover my right eye.

Mum was the only one who quickly came down the stairs and over to me, probably worried out of her mind.

"My little ZuZu, whats wrong?! What hurts?!  What happened?! Did the other kids do this to you?! Are you cold?!" Mum kept asking me question after question after question, not giving me a chance to talk.

Sometimes... I just hated being the youngest in the family. I'm just treated as a baby most of the time. Garroth is just two years older, he should be treated the same way!

"Mum! My eye just hurts and I cant see out of it! It's all because Garroth threw a snowball at my face and the snowball hit my eye!"  I say.

"Okay, ZuZu, let me see your eye, that's the only way I can help you.. okay?"

"Okay, mum.."

I remove my hand, just wanting the pain to end.

"ZuZu, come on. Were going to the hospital." Mum says, grabbing my hand.

I've always hated going to the hospital... seeing all the sharp tools and strangers trying to help you... it just freaks me out..
