Chapter 5

Found You Too.

Opening my eyes to a fancy hospital room. Wait, a hospital room?

"I was hoping to see you again, but not in this situation." He grinned; I smiled.

"Your awake! Thank God!" She rushed over and gave me a hug.

"How'd I get in here?" "You fainted, Zac here, saved you." I saw him outside on the phone. "Za-" "Hello Ms.Schwartz" Great timing Doctor. "Yeah?" "You have been poisoned by drugs and it's only a slight effect ; you can be treated easily, we'll just give you a few medications and you'll be good to go." Phew!

I keep looking at Zac, I like that name. His dimples pop out every time he smiles, cute.

He catches me starring at him, I remember when I caught him starring at me just a few days ago. I quickly look down.

"Hey, lets go home ok?" Shelby is so impatient. She calls Zac and we get down the elevator. We reach outside and Shelby forgets something and goes back up. "You guys go ahead." So it was only Me and Zac, walking.

What could possibly happen tonight?

"Um, thanks for today, it really meant a lot, I don't know what would've happened if --"

He cuts me off "Its fine don't worry about it" He grins.

He whistles Rue's Song from The Hunger Games.

"Oh my god! Hunger Games right?"

"Yeah, you know the movie?"

"Yup, I've kinda read all the books like a billion times" I shrug

We keep walking but, there's no awkward tension. We laugh and jump around like goof balls. There was an Ice-cream shop from afar, we couldn't help ourselves.

Zac and I race to the shop which we find out is about to close but luckily Zac put his feet in before they could close the doors.

I got a vanilla on a cone and Zac got chocolate on a cone too.

"You know, one of my friends did this-" He smeared his ice cream on my face "-to me once" He chuckles and laughs. It felt cold but good. "I'm so gonna get you back" and slashed my cone onto his face. He laughs, I laugh.

We race each other to a nearby fountain. "3,2,1 Go!" It felt so good, I won but I think thats what Zac wanted because right when I stopped he pushed me into the fountain and I pulled him in with me. We stepped on coins and quarters. I slipped on something and fell towards Zac into the water. Laughter is like a drug right now.

We're so close to each other, there's something here.

Does he feel the same way?

I pull back "we should get back" I grinned falsely.

He nodded.

On the way back its really awkward. Really really awkward.

"Um, so where's your stop?" I break the tension.

"My dorm's right after this street"

"You go to UCLA?"

"Yup, its my third year"

"English Major?"

"Nutrition"

"Thats so cool! I've always wanted to major in that, its so interesting."

"Why didn't you?"

"I don't want to talk about it, maybe next time?"

We reached my dorm.

"This is my stop" I grin.

"Next time?"

I shrug.

He smiled.

I slide my phone number on the pocket on his shirt. He smiles, I smile back.

"See you."

"See you."
