"Well, we better get go-" Naruto stopped mid-sentence and stared at his comrades. "Why in the name of Kami are you idiots sitting around without getting yourselves healed?!"
"They refused to be healed unless you were alright," Gaara put in, for he was already healed.
"Honestly, you guys..." Naruto wanted to yell at them, but he was touched by their concern.
"Sorry," Itachi said quickly, before the youngers could say anything and mess it up. "But you were the most badly hurt, so we were worried. You are our Hokage, after all, Naruto-kun."
"I guess." Slightly mollified by the smart raven's response, Naruto turned to where the great, legendary medical ninja had frozen. "Ne, ba-chan, they need to be healed too, dattebayo."
"I'm getting onto it," she mumbled, as she headed towards the gulping, terrified shinobi.
"Tsunade-sama, maybe you should take a look at Sasuke-kun." Sakura's anxiety had Naruto looking more thoroughly at his old friend. "I'll heal Itachi-san and Shisui-san first."
"Gaki, you've been using that Rinnegan recklessly again," Tsunade grumbled as she began to heal the now half-unconscious boy, who was being held up by his indifferent elder brother.
"Neji-niisan." Hinata began applying her own medical chakra to her cousin's arm to heal him.
"Lee, Gai, you two look fine," Shizune commented. "Tenten, you used that Ninja tool again?!"
"But I'm so good with it..." Tenten protested, before she completely collapsed into Lee's arms.
Once everyone had healed and had a filling lunch, the Leaf Shinobi decided to head back. After all, Darui and Omoi had left without waiting to eat, while Kurotsuchi and Chojuro were also about to head out. They all were needed in their respective nations, in any case.
"It's still a two-day journey," Tenten cautioned her 'youthful' sensei and teammate. "And also, Naruto only just got healed, so we CANNOT deal with your crazy youthfulness, alright?"
For once, Neji admired how well the girl toyed around with the feelings they had for Naruto. It certainly got the job done; neither Lee nor Gai suggested decreasing the time by a half second.
"Kaka-sensei is going to eat my head this time," Naruto groaned, and beside him, Neji laughed.
"If you know that, don't get into trouble already," he grinned. "You really are reckless..."
"He's right for once, dobe. Don't go around doing such impulsive things," Sasuke agreed.
"If you all are going to lecture me, I might as well summon Gamakichi and get there in a few leaps rather than in two whole days of listening to you idiots," Naruto grumbled.
"They're saying it for your good, Naruto-kun," Itachi smiled soothingly. "Don't get so upset."
Trust my idiotic brother to be able to calm him down... Sasuke thought angrily, as he sent another deadly glare towards him, which simply caused the older raven to smirk.
"Sasuke, look out, te-!" Naruto didn't bother finishing his sentence, and dragged Sasuke down by the ankle. Several kunai, dripping with poison, pierced the spot Sasuke had just been in.
"Sasuke!!" Itachi and Shisui quickly landed on a branch close to where the two men stood.
"I-I'm fine. Thanks, Naruto." They all were now looking for the attacker who threw the kunai.
"Ma, ma. If it isn't our beloved Sasuke-koi, and with him Naruto-kun?" A horrible pale figure, dressed in a blood red caped robe, with a white snake protruding from beneath the hem, came in front of them, before revealing his face. Glasses enhanced the ugly yellow-green eyes, and white hair tumbled in an unkempt mess to his shoulders. He had two small horns on his head.
