(A/N Hi guys. This is actually my first book....ever. So feel free to comment or vote. And sorry for the absence of a cover. Will work on it later :).Bye and God bless.)

"Jo? Jo? JO?!"
"Hello?! I'm not deaf. I heard you. And I already told you twice Judah,I'm coming!"I yell back.
"Well, you better hurry. Dad's not saying a word, not if you're not around." I hear him say,but closer and less loud. I turn around and see him standing in my doorway, chuckling as he notices what I'm doing.

"Kay,Judah. Will be down in a second. I'm almost done anyway."
He nods and heads downstairs with this annoying smile on his face.

I grab the last section of my waist-length curly hair, work a bit of the new product I just bought into it,and do my final knot.
It's the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I absolutely love how it makes my mass of curls feel. Soo silky and soft.
I have no idea why Judah thinks bantu knots (which is what I'm doing right now) look silly on me. But what can I say? I love it. Besides,it gets my tight curls a bit stretched out.

You see,my mum's ghanaian but my dad is canadian. Yeah,I know. Weird combo. But we all turned out alright,so I'm sure God knew what He was doing.
And by "we",I mean Jacob,my little brother,Judah,my older and unendingly annoying brother, and me. Jordan Brown. Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I'm 16 and a PROUD christian. Due to being biracial,I have a creamy caramel complexion and a head full of bodacious chocolate curls. I'm slender, tall and graceful. At least, that's what my mum tells me. I also have a really small face and these huge brown eyes which I completely love. People tell me I'm a perfect replica of my mum, just fairer and with looser curls. Pft. Right. Like I could look anything like my outrageously gorgeous mum.

Anyway,at the moment,we live with our parents in Accra,a very lively town situated in Ghana.I've lived here practically all my life and I LOVE this place.
The people here are so warm and friendly you'd think the whole country was related! Kids call strangers "uncle" and "aunty" and even adults refer to themselves as "brother" or "sister". To me,this beautiful african country will always be home.

My siblings and I were all actually born in Canada where my parents used to live. But my mum couldn't bear to be away from her real home. So we moved right after Jacob was born. And anyway, dad is totally Ghana-crazy. He sometimes even wears kente,a popular ghanaian cloth, when we go out. And that's weird, even to the native ghanaians.Anyone would think he was ghanaian but then his pale complexion and bright green eyes give him away instantly.

Speaking of dad,I wonder what "news" he seems so excited to tell us. He promised last week to spill the beans after he talked it over with mom. To tell the truth,I'm actually kinda scared.
Well,I guess there's only one way to find out.
