The Master of the Sea

'Once be my home,

the ship

Once be my world,

the water

Once be my life,

the voyage

Once be my heart,

the crew

And once be my eyes,

the captain

For I belong at sea,

Condemned for eternity

to a watery grave

So long as the tides

rise the ship higher

And so long as the waves

crash against her hull

I shall guide

all those at sea

Through the water

that I own

Whether they be swimmer

or sailor

Captain

or crew

Wanderer

or adventurer

Friend

or foe

I shall be with them

until their journey ends

Be it violent

or calm

But always by my will

For I am

the Master of the Sea'
