Until The Autumn

Like a leaf

In the summer she soars.

She is bright,

Full of colour,

Full of life.

Like a leaf

A sudden gust of wind shakes her

She still remains strong

But her colours are fading

Yet she denys anything is wrong.

Until the autumn arrives

Like a leaf she slowly dies.

But the departure isn't quick.

First her colour changes

From the vividness to the dull.

Then she slowly detaches from the rest

And like a leaf

She surely falls.

She falls into the pile,

Where the leaves gone before her lie.

Passers that walk by

Admire the beauty of the leaves on the ground,

Although it is too late for them now.

And the trees seem bare until tomorrow,

As in the spring new leafs follow,

And like the old leaves, she fades into the past,

No more than a memory, A life that slipped away too fast.
