That, was a long day. I thought, thinking about taking Sadie around the neighborhood, and going to her place for dinner. I laid down on my bed, thinking that there was a new girl in town. Ha, don't get yourself started, Alex. New girl, so what? She's probably with someone else, or she's going to meet someone better than you. I sighed, and slept.

I woke up since my alarm rang. I closed it, forgetting to turn it off. All well. I'm awake now. I thought, getting up. I put on shorts and a t-shirt. I walked downstairs and the house was quiet. I decided to go outside, and wrote my Dad a note about where I was. I looked at the clock and saw that it was only eight. I signed the note and then walked outside.

There was a slight breeze outside as I walked along the path. I decided to go to the near by lake. I took the shortcut there, the route Alex told me of. Hmmmmm. I thought, thinking of Alex. He probably has a girlfriend, and I'm just the idiot of a neighbor who moved in last night. Why the hell would he like me? I thought, clenching my fist. I really need a life. I laughed softly. More like a boyfriend. I shook my head and walked down to the lake.

I sat on a smooth slab of stone and stared across the water. I saw some ducks swimming with their ducklings.
