Narrative

Dipper and Pacifica just finished the project and Pacifica was packing up her stuff. "Dinner's done, kids!" Stan yelled. Mabel woke up and ran downstairs with Dipper, but Pacifica just took her time packing her stuff before she walked downstairs.

Mabel grinned as she saw Pacifica finally descend down the stairs. The way she did it made her look like a model to Mabel. She was staring so much, she hardly noticed her heading for the door, and her grin automatically dropped."Hey, wait Paz!" Mabel yelled and got up from the table and rushed to the door.

On the other hand, the older blonde stopped in her place, with her hand on the doorknob long enough for Mabel to grab her other arm. Pacifica felt weird, and she knew if it was anyone else she would have pulled back her arm and yelled at them immediately, but she couldn't bring herself to do it while looking at those bright chocolate eyes that were sparkling with hope.

"I was hoping you would stay for dinner? Please Paz?" Mabel seemed to be pleading for the girl to stay, but Pacifica was only thinking about the nickname.

"P-P-Paz?" She asked in her stuttering, and now blushing state.

"Well, Yeah, it's a nickname I just thought of it for you," Mabel stated cheerfully. Pacifica looked at her, shock evident on her face. Not even her closest friends have a nickname for her, no one did actually, but the nerd's sister quickly came up with one on the spot.

She slowly let go of the doorknob, and Mabel smiled wide. "S-sure," Pacifica said hesitantly. Mabel then pulled Pacifica to the table where her other 2 family members waited.

Pacifica sat in the empty seat that happened to have Mabel to her right and two empty seats to her left. Dipper had a surprised face when Pacifica actually agreed with Mabel to stay for dinner, but as he slowly realized what that could mean, it happened to turn into a smirk.

Everyone was eating in silence until Stan spoke up. "Mabel, how long are you staying?" He asked.

Mabel swallowed a piece of steak before replying, "I'm staying for a 3 month break, then I'm back off to school." She said smiling wide again. Pacifica on the other hand was surprised.

"What school do you go to?" She asked.

"Falls Academy for Girls." Mabel said like it was the simplest thing ever. Pacifica was now wide-eyed. Only certain people were allowed there. And the fact that the nerd's sister got in did surprise her, but at the same time, it didn't.

"Why'd the school let out."

"Oh, for renovation. Some kids blew up the entire science and library building for a prank. I'm sure they were suspended or something." She said waving off her gruncle.

"Now, Mabel would you tell us why we have 2 empty seats," Stan asked.

"Well, one of course is for Wendy, she still comes by right?" Mabel asked looking at Dipper making him groan at the mention of his old crush.

"I don't have a crush on her anymore Mabel-" He said, "-I like someone else now." He mumbled. He stopped liking her a week after he confessed to her. She had to turn him down easy and explain that after Robbie, she found out she had a bigger interest in girls. He was bummed but he moved on to someone else.

He had hopped Mabel didn't hear but she did and she squealed. "We'll talk later! Anyway, the other chair is for my best friend, her name's Keara. I invited her to spend the 3 months here. Since her parents took her little sister on vacation with them, they didn't find out about the school incident until a week after they left, so I said she could stay here. Her and Waddles will be here tomorrow." She said excitedly.

"Not the pig again."

"Oh, yeah the pig." Both Stan and Dipper groaned making Mabel pout.

"Waddles?" Pacifica asked making Mabel look at her and smile while the other 2 groaned again.

"Oh, he's just my pet pig, but he's secretly the cutest most bestest pig in the world!" She yelled.

"Bestest isn't a word." Dipper stated dully.

"It's is now." She said.

"No it's not."

"Yes it is."

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Stan!" They both yelled at their gruncle.

"Kids, Kids, it's an easy way to solve this. Mabel is the older twin and is going to a smart school, so that makes Mabel automatically right" He stated before shoving some mashed potatoes in his mouth. Mabel grinned in victory, while Dipper groaned again. Mabel just patted his back before continuing to eat.

Pacifica smiled at the interaction. She wouldn't admit it but, the nerd and his family seemed fun, and she kinda wished she could live like that. The blonde then shook her head forgetting the thought. She quickly stood up and picked up her plate as well.

"Where should I put it." She said more than asked.

"Here, I'll take that Paz, you can go now," Mabel said smiling before taking her plate and going in the kitchen.

Pacifica bit her lips, she didn't want to leave, at least not yet, but she had to. She turned around and headed towards the door. "Paz, wait!" Mabel yelled. Pacifica turned around, "Don't forget your bag." She said before giving them to Pacifica who shyly gave a small smile back, before taking her stuff and leaving.

"See you later Mabel." She said as she closed the door. Mabel on the other hand smiled while heading towards her room.

"You like her!" Dipper yelled up the stairs.

"We'll talk later!" She yelled back down.

"Crazy kids." Stan mumbled before heading to the kitchen and cleaning back up.
