I kept my eyes open
But still I couldnt see,
That everything I wanted
Was right in front of me.
Everything was blurry,
But I could still see shapes.
Yet what I couldn't see,
Was that the world was filled with hate.
It was like we were stranded in the middle of an ocean,
And we couldnt fight the sinking motion.
It would pull us down,
To where we couldnt breathe.
And I kept my eyes open,
But still I couldn't see.
And it made me wonder why we were here,
Why we were tested with dreams and fears,
Why we were created to try something new,
When all you really wanted was to be a better you?
