The Vacation

A Dan and Phil cereal journey

~~~Dan's POV~~~

Dan sat down on their sofa and thought about everything that had happened in the past year. He and Phil had just returned home from their tour in Australia. They decided that they were going to film a video when they had slept enough to normally function. Dan opened his laptop and checked his social media for something special. Facebook, nothing. Instagram, nothing. Twitter, nothing. Tumblr, surprisingly nothing. Just some ads about free trips if you buy cereal. "Ugh. I think I might sleep more than three hours tonight.", Dan said while he put his laptop in the charger. He changed into his spoopy skeleton pyjama and went to bed.

~~~Phil's POV~~~

*BEEP BEEP* 8:30 AM. Phil opened his eyes. "Great, I forgot to turn it off." He was still very sleepy even tough he had just slept more than 8 hours. He heard Dan playing piano in Dan's bedroom. Phil almost fell asleep again while listening to it, but Dan stopped playing. He heard Dan walking to his bedroom and knocking on the door. "Good morning Dan. You were awake early for once!", Phil said with a sleepy voice as Dan walked in. "I heard you playing piano. It was really great." "Phil," Dan said. Phil hoped he was going to say something like 'I love you', but he didn't.  "Phil, we don't have cereal anymore, and I'm not buying new ones without you, because you always say I buy the wrong ones and you are the one that ate most of it." Phil picked a colorful shirt and a not matching pair of socks, did a fringe check and put on his coat. 

They walked into the store and said 'Hi' to the lady that was cleaning the door. They walked their usual path to the cereal. Phil picked one and saw some sort of button that said: 'Buy 5 packs of CrunchyCereal and win a romantic trip for two!' Phil immediately thought about him and Dan being together and bought 5 packs. "Phil why do you have 5 packs of cereal?", Dan asked. "Well, it said that if we buy 5 packs we can win something and because we're lazy and don't want to go to the store every time we don't have something." The cashier asked for an e-mail address, ''just in case you win something''. 

---Three days later--- 

Phil gave the cashier his e-mail address and since then he checked his e-mail every ten minutes. He wanted to know if he had won something. After those three days he had given up his hope. Until he got an e-mail:

Dear Phil, 

You bought 5 packs of our Crunchers and you are the lucky winner! We have already booked a room for you and your partner. You are going to: Florida! Please react to this e-mail so we can set the vacation on your name, age and address. The flight and the hotel are free for you, so don't worry! You are going for two weeks.

Enjoy your trip!

"Dan, Dan come here! We won the trip!", Phil said almost jumping through the wall. "Wait, what? We actually won? Awesome! When and where are going?", Dan asked Phil. "Next week, two weeks long in Florida", Phil answered.

They had a nice evening talking about what they should do once they're there. They ate some burrito's and both went to bed as usual. 

Phil dreamt about Dan that night. He dreamt that they were in Florida, on the beach holding hands. He felt like he couldn't be happier. This was the bright light in his life that was only going to become brighter, wasn't it?

A/N: I am not a native English speaker so there can be some misspelling, but you can just ignore it. :) I will post a chapter two very soon so don't worry. This is also my first fanfiction so please don't judge me about my writing style. Please comment what you think or if there's something that has to happen.
