When Jake was back on the island sometimes he wasn't able to get any sleep for the night. This was because he would think that the bigger animals would enter his home and kill him. He would hear banging and roaring once in awhile around his home and would curl up in his bed, only to add to his fear. When Dirk heard about this, by the next Wednesday he'd sent Jake a care box full of cookies he'd make himself, movies and canned chicken noodle soup to help him feel better and in hopes take his mind off the disturbance and get a good night's sleep. He's been sending care boxes to him every week ever since and Jake really appericiates it.
