I was getting more warm water for Sams cuts when the little girl came running up to me.
"Miss! He's awake!" She yelled and ran back over to the tent. I finished getting the water and went back in. Sure enough he was slowly opening his eyes. I grabbed the rag and dabbed it on his wounds. He must still be loopy or half asleep because he didn't even flinch when I started to sew the long scratch on his left arm together.
After I did this I left the tent. As I was rinsing the rag my left arm started to hurt. I put the rag down and moved my sleeve. Sure enough there was a long cut going across my arm. I grabbed the rag again and started to clean the wound as best as I could. When I was done with that I called the girl over. She instantly came running out of the tent and to my side.
"Yes Miss?" She asked.
"Do you know how to stitch wounds?" I asked her. She nodded and went to grab a needle and some thread. She came back and told me to lay my arm on her lap. I did as I was told and she expertly started to stitch my wound together. I watched in amazement as she did so. The little girl was done in half the time I was and it looked like an old, experienced healer had fixed my wound.
"Wow... How..." I looked up at her and she was beaming.
"I'm the protege of a healer in the Iron Willow groves." She said proudly. I looked back over at my arm and put my sleeve back into place. I stood up and set a hand on her head. "Good job." I said and smiled at her. If it was even possible, she smiled even brighter.
I walked over to the fire and put some more logs on it. I sat down on the log seat and just stared at the fire. All of a sudden I had this pounding headache. I put my hand on my forehead. I started to feel dizzy and then the floor came rushing at my face. The last thing I remember was the little girl was running at me yelling my name.

I woke up in pure white. I had to close my eyes for a minute before opening them. When I did I was greeted with a small living room. There was a fire in the corner with a few chairs by it. On the left side of the fireplace was a window with a table. I turned around and was greeted by a wall of white stone... and a women using a metal object to cook? I walked over to her but she didn't know I was there. I looked around to find more cooking stuff and other things that I couldn't recognize, but somehow felt familiar.
A girl with red hair, who looked to be around nine, came running into the room. " Mommy! Mommy! Look at what I found in the attic! It's me!" She said and showed her mom a picture. The woman looked at the picture with a look of surprise, "How did you find that?" she said with shock.
"Who is the boy that's standing next to me." I finally got a glimpse of the picture. It was the girl but she looked younger. And standing next to her was a little boy with brownish red hair and bright blue eyes. Sam!
"Put that back where you found it this instant and we will never speak of this again!" She said with anger and... fear? The little girl looked sad and ran back out of the room. I was going to follow her but my vision went white and then black.

I looked at my old comrades and they looked at me. Urim, a thin, tall man with greyish skin, bone white hair, and dark green eyes, he was a great warrior once... but nobody know what happened before he stepped down from the head guard position. He walks up to me, " We have not done any jobs lately Sir. I would recommend you come back when we are looking for some." He says. I look at Arobin.
"Urim, cut him some slack he was being hunted when he left... you can't blame him for leaving..." Arobin says and sets a hand on Urims shoulders. Urim looked at me and then sighs and leaves, "Don't mind him. He's still mad about you leaving us that night" he said and walked over to me. We locked arms and patted each others back.
