The following week, the girls were attending a funeral. The funeral of Emily Fields. They were wearing short black dresses that looked like they should be on the runway instead of a funeral.
"Another murder" A voice calls which causes the girls to spin around. "Five years without one but now there's so many"
Tanner scratches her forehead.
"Why would we kill Emily? She was our best friend" Spencer snaps back.
She wasn't going to let this woman walk all over her.
"Maybe you should go after the person that shot me. The person that almost killed me"
"Almost" Tanner replied. "We need you girls to come in for questioning. Don't try to leave town"
Tanner walks away from the girls, leaving them speechless. They stand there for what seems like hours but something in Hanna's gut tells her to turn around.
"Where's Alison and Mona?"
The girls turn their heads in every direction, searching for the two girls.
Their phones ring in unison and they all reach into their purses to get them.
"I don't want to look" Hanna slowly brings the phone up to her face.
The bell tower rings for Alison and Mona
"Guys look!" Aria holds up the phone to Spencer's face. "I knew this would happen"
As if on cue, a bell rings in the distance. The girls all runs to the tower. They dash up the stairs where they find Mona. She was hugging her knees and crying.
"Mona what's wrong?" Hanna slides onto the ground.
But Mona doesn't speak. All she does is look up to where a body hangs. It wasn't just any body. It was Alison.
"Ali!" Aria shouts, covering her mouth with shock. "She's dead"
Spencer got Alison's body onto the hard floor where they looked at her closed eyes.
"No pulse. She's gone"
"We...we....we got a text on our phones. They told us that you guys were in the bell tower so we came up the steps and they choked me and then they took Alison and tied her up there" Mona spoke fast but the girls were able to make out the words.
Their phones rang again. Another text from A.D.
Two liars down. Three to go.
