The Demon Hunters *On Hold*

Chapter 2

I opened my eyes groggily. “Sleeping Beauty's up” I heard a man shout. I recognized the voice but I just couldn't put my finger on who it was. “Where am I?” I mumbled. The man came into view. It was the cop from the alley. “Don't worry about that” He said with a grin “You won't be here much longer” He laughed menacingly and walked away. “What is going on?” I shouted after him. “You'll see” He called as he exited the room. To my surprise my father, Bill Harper entered the room. Now my father was never the nicest of men, quite often taking pleasure in intimidating others, but surely he would rush to my aid.“Dad, please help me! that guy, he kidnapped me!” I shouted “Wait a minute, what are you doing here?” I stopped and asked myself why my father would be here. “I'm here to kill you of course” He replied with a grin that made me want to run all the way to China. “WOAH!”I yelled. Standing before me where my father was mere moments ago, was a demon. At least that's what it looked like. He, or it, was an easy 7'2, towering above me. Whereas before he had pale white skin it was replaced with this scaly, blood red flesh, and atop his blood red head,  protruding through his jet black, slicked back hair, was two horns. And not like sheep's horns that you want to reach over and touch, these were scaly, dark horns that you wanted nothing more than to get away from. His teeth sharpened into fangs and his nails sharpened into dirty, black talons. his clothes barely fitted on him anymore. His features were more defined, his cheekbones were sharper and more visible. He looked almost . . . beautiful. He smiled and said “What? Never seen a demon before?” As he laughed a woman's voice joined in. My mother, Betty Harper, stepped out of the shadows, also as a demon, looking fairly similar but with longer hair and even more beautiful. “Hey honey, were really sorry about having to do this but we need to to keep these forms so, tough luck kiddo, see you in the afterlife”
