My paws made a patter on the hard stone ground as I hurried down the tunnel. I knew all the secrets of this castle from a gift from my father, the Marauders Map, it has been passed down from my grandfather to my father then on to me. I know that Father would have given it to James but Mother made him pass it to me when he realised he had forgotten my present. You see all my siblings and I got given these cool magic present before school started, since I keep to myself at home he forgot me. I remember that day very clearly, I remember my face going hot, everyone staring and tears prickling my eyes.

Blocking out the memory I turn left and head to the secret room I found the first day. As soon as I enter I am greeted with the musty scent of...........sherbet lemons? Weird. Anyway the room is full of varieties of mystical objects but the est thing in the room is a regal and proud phoenix. I have been taking care of him for a while and I think his name is Fawkes because it is carved into his ledge. Anyway I have been calling him that for a while know, I really hope that is right!

I turn back into my normal self, feeling my stomach squirm at the change in altitude. I fix my glasses so they are perched on the bridge of my nose and pull my hair back into a messy ponytail not bothering to she if it's neat. I guess that's one of the rare things I find I have in common with my father....

Sensing I'm not in a very bright mood Fawkes glides over to me and lands on my shoulder, he nuzzles his beak into my neck making me laugh. I stroke Fawkes's back, gently smoothing down his crimson red and gold feathers.

I hear a cough and a sneer from behind me, Fawkes let's out a screech and I quickly quiet him unsure of where the noise came from. I gently place Fawkes back onto his perch, pull out my wand and get ready in a fighting stance.

"Show yourselves!" I order trying not to cower behind one of the many big cupboards.

Someone from above clears their throat and my eyes dart up to see two paintings hanging above a humongous ebony wood desk. One painting contains a delighted old man with a captivating twinkle in his eye, he started stroking his long beard. I guessed this man was a wizard or if not a muggle that was really wise and well respected .

The second man has wearing a scowl that looked like it fitted him very well, he had matched this expression with some shoulder length black hair and an obnoxiously large nose. I'm guessing he isn't really the smiley type of guy, I'm sure if you got to know him better you would find a caring man that has feelings.

I stick my wand through my ponytail and move closer to the painting before jumping back when the first man starts speaking.

"What do you think you are doing here this room belongs to Headmaster Albus Dumbledore himself! You should be in class! 10 points from Gryffindor!"

"As much as you might want to tell a student off I don't think the rules cover your ideas of fun, Professor Snape," said the wise looking one, "I am very sorry about Severus he is a bit cranky today but I'm sure he will warm up in the future!"

"Wait... Your the one and only Albus Dumbledore? I have heard stories of you, my Father used to tell my siblings about you when he put them to bed! I would just listen through the wall..............." I started before being cut off by Fawkes giving a loud squawk.

"Oh I am very sorry my friend, my your feathers certainly look rather splendid today!" Dumbledore said looking at Fawkes with a loving smile. "Well miss I must thank you for taking care of my companion other there! Not many young witches and wizards know how to care of a phoenix, Fawkes for that matter! He is a bit fussy!"

I smile as I stroke Fawkes of the back and giving him a small pile of food on my hands. I think the lightning scar on my hand was shown because Professor Snape gasped then covered it with a cough. I quickly slipped on some thing white gloves and tucked my hand behind my back, I can tell that the to professors noticed but didn't want to draw attention to it as I was not very public about the scar.

"I am sorry to leave but Professor Snape was right, I need to head to class so I don't fail my class. It was an honour to meet you both, thank you for keeping Fawkes company I worry he doesn't have anything to do while I am away. See you later!" I said as I turned into my fox form and slipped back through the tunnel I came in through.

I turned down many corridors, heading to my next class which was transfiguration. I tried to avoid the full corridors and headed to the grassy area near my class, it's great that the tunnel exited at the base of a big tree because no one will see me in my fox form. I slipped out of the tunnel and turned back into a human, I slipped my wand out of my hair and into my pocket, I took my hair down. I made sure my hair covered some of my face in my usual hairstyle and then stood at the back of my friend group.

"Why can't I sit with you?!" said a familiar whiney voice

"You can sit with Celestia in class! Maybe she will let you copy and you will actually get a good mark!" said a stern but happy voice, I think it is Violet because she usually is the one who keeps Zoella in line.

"That is a really bad idea! You can't learn from cheating and if you are found out don't include me in it because I am thoroughly against cheating!" replied a voice that I think is my cousin Gabbriella.

"Celestia is nice and all but she is rather boring and is more of a teacher's pet then Gabby! She is probably in there already!" Zoella says in a loud voice which captures the attention of nearby students.

"Shut up you idiot!! She could hear you! Just sit next to me then" yelled Lilac who I could tell who she was straight away.

I hurried past all of my friends and before they could see sat down at the first seat in the corner where no one sits.

"Hello there! My name is Arya what's yours?" says a girl next to me who I didn't even notice....
