Y/n POV:
"Hey Luke," you shout running over to where he is sitting down by the canoe lake.
"Oh hey y/n," he replies softly staring at the waters clear surface which he usually does when he is thinking of his girlfriend Drew, he is head over heels for her. You on the other hand can't stop thinking about him you are in love with your best friend but you have to keep reminding yourself that he doesn't like you in the same way.
"Want to go for a swim," you suggest,trying to grasp his attention.
"Maybe tomorrow (your nickname)," he sighs not even bothering to look up at you.
"What's up Luke you seem upset," you say sitting down beside him.
"It's nothing y/n," he sighs again.
"Luke... come on,tell me," you say reassuringly, you hate seeing him like this especially if it's Drews fault which it usually is.
" me and Drew were meant to Meet here for a picnic and a swim this morning after breakfast but she didn't show up," he replied in his sweet caring voice which send you 'head over heels'.
"I'm sure something important came up like she broke a nail or she wrecked her outfit,honestly you have no reason to worry," you say, but in fact he did have a reason to be worrying because this morning you saw drew and jake mason making out behind the Hephaestus cabin when you went to see Leo your other friend but being the sweet person you are you couldn't bare tell luke even if it did mean he would be a single guy.
"You're probably right, I'll go talk to her," he said standing up.
"Yeah...," you sigh as he runs off to the Aphrodite cabin.

That night you sit on the ocean floor. Being the daughter of Poseidon has its perks from time to time.
"Dad what do I do. I always screw things up and now I have I huge crush on my best friend what am I meant to do," you sob staring down into the dark abyss that lay in front of you. As usawal he gives you no reply so you swim back to the beach of camp half blood and sprint to your cabin before the harpies spot you and have you for a midnight snack.
"Hey,where have you been," your brother Percy asks as you enter the Poseidon cabin.
" I went for a swim," you say walking over to your bed.
" oh ok it's just it gets really quite in here when your out swimming since Tyson went to visit dad at the beginning of the month," he says with a sigh, dad doesn't always talk to us even though Percy is his favourite kid with me close behind but without fail always answers Tyson.
"Yeah sorry about that but I feel the same way when you go swimming or to see annabeth," you smile, you always make fun of Percy's relationship with annabeth mostly because you have no relationship of your own.
"Yeah like you can talk mrs castellan," he grins back.
"Hey he has a girlfriend and we are just friends," you lie, trying to convince yourself and not so much Percy.
"Oh right,that's why you like him so much,"
"Shut up,"
"Good night," he says ending the conversation before it becomes a water fight where no one gets wet the cabin just ends up soaking.
"Night." I reply
Luke's pov
"DREW," Luke calls running to the door of his girlfriends cabin.
She opens the door in a face mask, Pink robe and matching towel wrapped around her head.
" Oh Luke, I was having a wardrobe malfunction, sorry babe lets reschedule for tonight 7:30 same place,same plan?" She says swiftly.
" sure see you then," he replies just as the door shuts before him. He swivels on his right foot and heads down to his cabin to get ready for his rescheduled date in a couple hours.
"LUKE," the stolls shout as he enters the heremes cabin.
"What now you two,"luke huffs back walking over to his bed side table.
"How does it feel to be single dude," Connor says lightly patting luke on the back.
"What are you talking about...me and Drew have a date tonight?" Luke asked timidly.
"WHAT?... but she was just making out with one of the ares cabin mates," Travis said just as confused as Luke.
"No...that doesn't make sense...I'm going to go tell y/n that the dates back on see you two later," Luke says exiting his cabin and heading for the Poseidon one.
*knock*knock*
"Y/n it's luke," he shouts. But instead Percy opens the door.
"Oh (nick name) went swimming so unless you feel like venturing to the bottom of the ocean I suggest you come back later," Percy says closing the door.
'Ok' he thinks 'I guess I will talk to her later then'
He walks over to the same spot he sat this morning and sat down and before long drew was behind him.
"Hey babe," she says taking a seat beside Luke.
"Drew...I...need to ask you something," Luke says turning to face his girlfriend
"Yeah of course babe ask me anything,"
"The twins were talking to me earlier today and...well they said they saw you with an ares kid...kissing," he chokes out nervously.
"WHAT AND YOU BEIEVE THEM...I can't believe you, you really think I would do such a thing THAT'S IT WE'RE DONE," she screams tears sliding down her face.
"Babe...it's not like that...Drew come back," he yells as she walks away with a huff.
