Fuyu 10.

Echoed, hushed voices. 

Echoed, hushed and slightly panicked voices was all that made their way through Fuyu's cloudy mind. 

She winced slightly as a familiar voice reached her ears. 

“And what the hell are we going to do with three unconscious people, Ritsu? Last time I checked, our main concern was to get to the tower as quickly as possible.”

“You don't think I'm aware of that?” another familiar voice spat “That was our main concern, but now our only concern should be getting these three in a safe place.” he paused “especially Fuyu.” 

“If we get to the tower before the time limit ends, we have the opportunity to nurse them all back to health. I'm sure no one would attack us once we're inside.”

“I'm sure that would get us all disqualified-”

“Would you rather be disqualified or save your teammates lives!” another voice interrupted. 

“Kyouichi-”

“I've barely been in your presence for no more than a day, and all that's came out of your mouth is your selfish desires. Would you take just a second to notice how bad of a shape your teammate is in?” 

At his words, Fuyu stirred slightly, doing everything she could to coax herself back into a conscious state. 

“And who the hell are you to ask me if I care about my own teammates! The fact that we now have three people to worry about is stealing my attention from worrying about her.” 

Soma. 

“Wait a second, let's not allow this situation to tear us apart just yet.” 

Ritsu-

“You're the one who suggested taking on those two, if anything happens because of it, it would be your fault.”

“So let's just shut up and get to the tower already. If you want all this responsibility off your hands.” 

Aoi. 

“Cut it out! I bet there are dozens of teams who are able to hear us. If you want to avoid any more worries, than I suggest we all take it down a notch.” 

Hisui.

I have to wake up. Fuyu thought to herself as she gave it another go to peel her eyes open. I can't be...another burden to them.

“Yelling at each other won't improve anything!” 

“It's your fault we found you like this Sakura!” 

“Aoi!” 

“If you weren't so busy screeching out Sasuke's name, you might've been able to do something to help! All you are is a weak kid that makes every other female shinobi look bad!” she paused, taking in a sharp breath “Even Fuyu, who I'm sure isn't much stronger than you, did something to help, at least she tried.”

Why can't I wake up? Fuyu asked herself, slightly frustrated. How to I always end up being such a burden to everyone? 

Everyone went silent, as a tension filled wave of silence fell upon them. Aoi's words still flowing, still cutting small but painful wounds on everyone. 

“Now,” Aoi began, looking over everyone in her presence “Yes, our worries have increased with the addition of two more people, but I promise I won't let that lead us to become disqualified. But in order for me to keep that promise, all of you have to work with me willingly.”
