The Show

(Jordin's POV)

I was backstage. Backstage from my first show in years.I left the business for a while to take a break and find myself.In the midst of finding myself I found my best friend,companion, and,boyfriend , Jason.He's been my rock from the beginning.He's helped me build the confidence to sing again.And he was there when I was trying to lose weight.Funny story,we originally meet in a gym.I was just starting to work out more and one day I was going in, about to do zumba ,and there he was. It was all history from there.I didn't realize him back then ,but he ask me out and I realized who he was Jason Derulo.Its been 9 months since we made it official and he's been by my side ever since.

When ever I'm nervous we start singing "Hold me" by Janine And The Mixtape ,but he's not here today.He had some sort of family emergency that meant he had to go to Canada .I was really upset due to the fact he told me this morning but I won't hold him back to be there for his family.I'm live in a couple of minutes and I feel sick to my stomach.I'm going to perform my new song called "double tap".

"Your on in 5!" The stage director told me as he walked off.

"Sage , can I hold my phone?"
I needed to talk to him.His voice gives me a state of mind and I can't do it without him.

"Sorry ,your purse is in the dressing room and your on in less then 4 now."

I stood there disappointed at that fact that I can't talk to him. I must have stood there for a while because it was time for me to go on.

"And your on."

I walked on the stage behind my backup dancers and we got in our places.All the lights dimmed and the music began.

As I sang, I felt this feeling in my heart.A feeling that I've never experienced before. I wasn't nervous anymore or insecure. I felt in control , confident.That feeling that doesn't come around everyday.It felt amazing.

As I finished off,I had a few words to tell the audience.

"I would like to start off with saying thank you everyone for being here today and sticking around to see me perform. As you all know I haven't been around for a while. I needed that time away to find...me. And I did. This is why I'm here right now. And better then every."

Everyone start to clap and shout my name. I missed this.I missed the smile I would put on people's faces while I sung. And how one song or just a simple hello could change someone's day (or maybe life).

"Thank you so much. I love you all!!!!
I walked off the stage with a huge smile on my face.

As I walked backstage I was greeted by a pair of arms.

"You were amazing!"My best friend Sage told me,well more like screamed in my ear as we hugged.

"Thank you." I said while trying to hide my smile but gave up and smiled with teeth.

"It was amazing,I missed all the fun I use to have." I then began to smile again at the thought of all the memories.

"So where is Jason?" Sage asked with a confused and concerned face.

My smile quickly turned into a frown just thinking about how he missed my show.

"He had a family emergency."

"Oh no," he said shocked and even more concerned."What happen and who got hurt,and how," He went on until I interrupted him.

"All he told me was there was an family emergency."

"Oh...k."He said shaking his head.

"What?"Getting a little annoyed and confused as to why he's acting like this.

"Its just," He stopped and looked at me."Its just you and his family are really close and he would tell you if anything would or shall happen to them." He said with a very serious face.

"What are you saying?" Still annoyed and confused.

"I don't really know,but you should be aware of the situation."

I didn't feel like talking about this with him so I just said,"Ok Sage.I will keep that in mind."

"Ok, well we should get going, your car should be out back and I'm going to go threw the front." He said while giving me another hug.

"Ok,love you Sage." I said while hugging him back.

"Love you too." He said as he walked off down the hallway.

Me and Sage have been best friends since 6th grade.Not much to the story,he was in my music class and one day our teacher paired us together and made us write a song.He rapped I sang and together we made an amazing song which lead us to get an A+ and have an amazing friendship.

I thought about us and our memories as I walked out the back door.I stood there looking for my car.It was no where to be found.

10 minutes later....

It felt like forever.I had to be standing here for over 10 minutes.As I began to walk back inside I heard a honk.I turned around and jumped in the car.

"Hello my name is Harry, and I'll be your new driver."
